Triple H is back.

WWE issued a new statement on Friday, formally announcing Paul Levesque has returned to his regular duties as Executive Vice President of Talent Relations.

From WWE:

WWE® (NYSE: WWE) today announced that effective immediately, Paul Levesque will resume his executive position as EVP, Talent Relations.

“I look forward to returning to my prior position as head of Talent Relations. I’m healthy, fired up, and ready to take charge,” said Levesque.

Following the announcement, Triple H posted the following statement on Twitter:

“Proud and honored to work with the best talent in the world,” Triple H wrote.

Levesque’s official title in the company had been Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development since 2020. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events & Creative.

Levesque stepped down from his role in September 2021 after having a cardiac event. He later confirmed that he was dealing with a serious case of viral pneumonia, and symptoms included coughing up blood, inflamed lungs and fluid surrounding his heart. After confirming his in-ring retirement during an interview with Stephen A. Smith, Levesque appeared at WrestleMania 38 and left his boots in the ring.

According to a follow-up from Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston, it’s believed that Levesque is taking over John Laurinaitis’ duties in the company. Laurinaitis is currently on administrative leave after being named in the Wall Street Journal’s report about his alleged role in the Vince McMahon hush money scandal.
