One of WWE’s current longest-running feuds has been between MFT and the Wyatt Sicks. For months, they have gone after each other for various reasons. MFT’s own Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga became WWE Tag Team Champions last month, defeating the Wyatts’ Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy. In addition to the belts, they also have the lantern once possessed by Bray Wyatt. Ever since their debut two years ago, Uncle Howdy had carried the lantern in honor of his late brother.

On the February 20, 2026 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Howdy had enough of MFT’s games. He proposed a match between him and Sikoa, with no one else being at ringside. Sikoa accepted for the next week, adding another chapter to their feud. Would this prove to be a mistake, or would he find a way to beat the leader of MFT?

Howdy Wins the Battle but Loses the Lantern

Fans are divided over WWE’s handling of this feud. Some think that it’s going to culminate in a WrestleMania match. In that case, they have to really up the stakes to get people to care about it. Others say that the feud has gone way too long already, with both factions needing to move on. However, Howdy and Sikoa haven’t moved on from each other at all, hence the match. It started with the two locking up, with each man getting punches from the other. The first sign of an advantage came when they went outside the ring.

Sikoa was in position for the Samoan Spike. But Howdy smartly ducked, with Sikoa’s right hand slamming into the ring post. Howdy then slammed Sikoa’s hand into the post three more times himself, hugely handicapping him. He then clotheslined him over the barricade into the timekeeper’s area.

After slamming his hand onto the announcer’s table, Howdy threw Sikoa back into the ring. After some punches between them, Sikoa pinned Howdy with a Samoan Drop, but Howdy kicked out. More punches were followed by a Solo Slam and a splash to pin Howdy, but he kicked out once again. Sikoa then positioned Howdy into the Sister Abigail to mock him, and got the Mandible Claw for his mockery.

After another Samoan Spike and two running hip attacks, Sikoa declared the match over. But he ran into Sister Abigail, where Howdy pinned him for the victory. He then reclaimed the lantern, but Talla Tonga took it back after a few seconds. It’s clear that this feud isn’t over just yet, which is unfortunate, given that they’ve feuded for over four months now. WWE will need to cook up something exciting if the end goal is a WrestleMania match between the two factions.
