AEW wrestler Pac, whose real name was Benjamin Satterley, died at the age of 40 on Sunday night.
All Elite Wrestling announced the news, although the cause of death wasn’t determined at the time. Pac was found dead in his car in the parking lot of a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines, Ill., on Sunday night.
On Tuesday night, the Des Plaines Police Department said that there were no signs of foul play or any criminal activity, according to a report from TMZ.
The surprising part is that Pac just wrestled against Andrade El Idolo in a battle for the AEW National Championship. Pac lost in a 20-minute match that took place at Now Arena just outside of Chicago, Ill.
Witnesses said Pac was inside the vehicle as a “slumper” right before authorities came to the scene, and he was pronounced dead on Sunday evening.
Pac joined AEW in 2019 and he had won multiple titles.
