The event that occurred on the September 29 episode of WWE RAW made fans feel concerned when Kofi Kingston sustained a hard knee to the head while fighting LA Knight. The accident triggered the appearance of threats of potential harm to the former WWE Champion.

Good News on WWE Internal Report

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer said that Kingston was not on the WWE internal injury list. It indicated that he sustained no significant injury. Alvarez observed that even though Kofi Kingston was shaken up. He did not seem to be in bad shape from then on.

How the Match Came Together

During the night, Adam Pearce had been requested by LA Knight to give him a World Championship opportunity. Because he was the last man to pin Seth Rollins. There came the New Day, with a request to be presented with a shot at the World Tag Team Title. Kofi Kingston kept reminding Knight that he was the only one in the conversation with past World Title experience. Knight retorted that he would soon be champion himself, and Pearce booked the singles match between the two.

Despite Kingston losing to Knight, The New Day continues to feature heavily on the tag team scene at RAW. In recent times, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have partnered with Grayson Waller on a comedic basis. The three have featured in light-hearted backstage scenes, such as a joke on several occasions about getting signatures to petition to ban the Mexican Destroyer.
