WWE Hall of Famer John "Bradshaw" Layfield predicted on the Something to Wrestle podcast that Vince McMahon will release a tell-all book within the next two years. JBL, who was spotted having lunch with McMahon in August, remains connected to the former WWE chairman. He was one of the WWE legends invited to McMahon's 80th birthday party.
Responding to Conrad Thompson, who asked if we will ever hear from Vince, JBL said:
I'll give you the over-under on the book: in two years. Maybe one. I think there's probably a 99 to 100% chance.Unless something happens, it's as close to 100% as you can get.I have a feeling it will be beyond belief. I have a feeling it will be raw, and it will be completely no freakin' hiding. I think Vince is going to let everything out.
This is significant news coming from a reliable source. JBL caught himself as he was talking from revealing "more than he should," further indicating that McMahon's plans for a tell-all book are already in the works.
I can almost guarantee that WWE and TKO will have no formal involvement in the project. This means Vince will not have any licensing rights to use related media. Frankly, however, Vince does not need WWE's media library to tell his story. We have seen all the footage. Vince's own words, written or behind a camera, are all he needs to tell his side of the story.
Now in his 80s, McMahon has no shortage of 'tell-all' topics to write about, such as:
To name a few.
Let's hope JBL's timeline is right.
