Vince McMahon makes appearance at NBA game amid ongoing controversy

The former WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon made a rare appearance on March 17, attending the New York Knicks and Miami Heat game at Madison Square Garden. He sat courtside, dressed in green for St. Patrick’s Day.

This public appearance is only the second by McMahon since he stepped down from WWE in 2024 due to misconduct allegations that resulted in an ongoing lawsuit. The last time we saw him was at the Super Bowl, watching the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs with his long-time friend Mark Calaway (The Undertaker).

These rare appearances have sparked speculation about his current status and well-being since he’s had some notable physical changes since stepping down. He has a new hairstyle with a gray streak and seems to be in good health, losing the sinister mustache he had at the time he stepped down.

The broadcast introduced him as a former wrestling promoter. His relaxed, easy-going appearance at courtside among other high-profile figures as he watched the Knicks win 116-95 was in stark contrast to his loud, dominating nature in the WWE, showing that there are indeed many sides to his personality.

There are various rumors about what's next for McMahon. There has been speculation that McMahon could be involved in a new wrestling project, possibly alongside his daughter Stephanie, but no official announcement has been released.

With McMahon's advanced age (79) and ongoing lawsuit, new plans are likely to take a back seat. Future public appearances are expected to remain both infrequent and widely discussed.
