We Probably Won’t Ever See John Cena Movie ‘Coyote Vs. Acme’
Hali Tauxe/IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK

As his WWE career concludes and Hollywood calls, the John Cena movie ‘Coyote Vs. Acme’ might never be seen at was shelved forever.

In 2023, news broke that Cena’s project “Coyote vs. Acme” was on life support.

The crazy news about all that wasn’t that the movie was struggling to be made. Rather, the movie was effectively all done.

But, with the strikes in Hollywood and for other reasons, Warner Brothers was said to have decided to not let the movie see the light of day.

When that was revealed, fans pushed the studio to keep the intriguing project alive.

Warner caved and allowed the movie to have new life.

Unfortunately, things may have finally come to an end.

We Probably Won’t Ever See John Cena Movie ‘Coyote Vs. Acme’

While we won’t see much of John Cena in SmackDown results this year (but all those SmackDown results are here), we would like to see this movie.

Honestly, I don’t. always stay up on movie projects, but once I heard about this…I wanted to see it.

As the name might give away, “Coyote vs. Acme” does what it can to give Wil E. Coyote his literal day in court.

The often beaten down coyote always relies on Acme products to catch the speedy roadrunner.

After one too many issues, he takes the company to court.

Interesting, right?

But, after keeping the movie alive, WB shopped the film around Hollywood.

And they had some nice offers, according to reports. Some were streaming only, but at least one included a theatrical release.

But, in spite of lucrative offers…Warner Brothers decision makers have decided they’d rather let the movie die and take the tax write off.

Turns out whatever the offers were, the opportunity to write it off outweighed the choice to sell the movie.

All involved who made the movie, and those of us who wanted to see it, may never get what we wanted.

Then again, this could get revived again…but for now it seems to be over and done with.
