What’s Next for Stephanie Vaquer after Eventful Raw Women’s Title Match?

Stephanie Vaquer continues to live up to her nickname, La Primera, as she remains in first place when it comes to WWE’s women’s division.

On Monday night, Stephanie Vaquer showcased her usual brilliance, overcoming the champion’s disadvantage of a triple threat match. Vaquer kept her head on a swivel the entire match, striking when she needed to. In the end, she took advantage of Raquel Rodriguez trying to do a little too much. Rodriguez looked set to simultaneously powerbomb both Vaquer and Nikki Bella, but Vaquer slipped off the back. Rodriguez powerbombed Bella, but then was met by Vaquer, who rolled her up and out of the ring before covering Bella to retain the title.

While the match didn’t necessarily point to the finality of the rivalry between Bella and Vaquer, Rodriguez can no longer claim she’s had a title match opportunity stolen from her, as previous ones were due to interference. WWE could continue to pair these three, but at this point, it seems there is more story to be told with the ladies of Judgment Day. Meanwhile, Bella is unlikely to go down without a fight. Sure, she took the pin, but Bella’s heel turn has focused on her being a legend and feeling entitled to certain things. Such was obvious after she locked Rodriguez in an STF, and the fans chanted “Thank you, Cena.” Bella responded by saying the fans should be thanking her instead. It was great heel work and seemed indicative that Bella is going to have things her way no matter what.

Bella likely isn’t out of Stephanie Vaquer’s rearview mirror yet, but when she is, what will be next for the woman who is set to enter 2026 as champ? Well, there is no shortage of options for WWE, but one stands out above the rest. Liv Morgan. Morgan is back, and she means business. And whether Judgment Day realizes it or not yet, she’s back running the show. Right now, Morgan is playing the dutiful friend, making it seem like she is content to stand alongside Roxanne Perez in the women’s tag team scene. But fans know, Morgan plays second fiddle to no one. Eventually, she seems poised to stand up and try to do what her best friend couldn’t by bringing the women’s world title back to the clubhouse. It’s worth noting that Morgan has a very prominent place in WWE’s WrestleMania advertising, so she seems destined for a big role at the show. Not to mention, Liv Morgan vs Stephanie Vaquer feels like a match worthy of WrestleMania, so fans will have to see if this is the direction WWE takes things over the next few months.
