Why a Wyatt Sicks and Los Psycho Circus AAA Rivalry Works

The WWE’s acquisition of AAA has led to many different things happening that have excited the crowd. Ethan Page and Chelsea Green’s partnership and AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship reign have been entertaining to watch. Mr. Iguana has become popular with the main roster crowd.

The Lucha Brothers’ reunion was also a nice treat for WWE fans. But one thing happened that people might find uninteresting. At AAA Alianzas, a challenge was made by Psycho Clown on behalf of Los Psycho Circus for the Wyatt Sicks.

Bo Dallas appeared on screen and accepted that challenge for Guerra de Titanes on December 20. This battle will feature a faction of spooky people against a faction of clowns, something that isn’t fun for fans who prefer realism in their wrestling. This will turn some people off, but there are reasons why their rivalry works.

The Wyatt Sicks are Matched in their Creepiness

Whenever the Wyatt Sicks attack a faction on Raw or SmackDown, things immediately get creepy and weird. That’s because there’s no one else doing things like them on the main roster. The cryptic teases, the masks, the general unsettling feeling whenever they come to the ring, all of it looks straight out of a horror film.

All of that is by design, as WWE wants you to feel a certain way when they’re on screen. However, Los Psycho Circus easily matches them in those departments.

They all have creepy masks and are generally characters you would find in a killer clown movie. Dave the Clown, Murder Clown, Pagano, and Psycho Clown aren’t the fun-loving clowns seen in circuses. They’re the clowns that people want to avoid. Going toe to toe with a similar faction could make non-fans care about a Wyatt Sicks match.

A Carnival of Carnage is Perfect for their Showdown

One of the advantages of spooky characters in wrestling is the fact that stipulation matches and gimmicks are readily accepted and cheered for. The Firefly Funhouse with Bray Wyatt, the Boogeyman eating worms, everything regarding the Undertaker and Kane, among other things, were what fans loved.

Their appeal enhanced their characters in big ways. Having spooky people and clowns facing off is just begging for a stipulation. Whatever a Carnival of Carnage is fits their characters like a glove.

It could be like the Firefly Fun House match, where they aren’t in a traditional ring. The match could also have lots of weapons and spooky tricks involved to make it the Carnival of Carnage. Perhaps it’ll be a combination of those two ideas. No one knows yet, but we’ll soon find out. Given their horrific and mysterious natures, the two factions will shine in their natural habitat.

This is a Perfect Match for Both Factions to Shine

There are wrestling fans who dismiss the Joe Hendrys, Mr. Iguanas, and Uncle Howdys of wrestling. They aren’t fans of spooky or silly gimmicks, or gimmicks in general. A lot of fans just enjoy the in-ring action and don’t care for character work. But there are some fans who love what those types of wrestlers have to offer.

They enjoy Aleister Black and Zelina’s spooky entrance and Jey Uso’s yeets. The Wyatt Sicks and Los Psycho Circus both fit that mold, with some people turned off by their masks and characters.

But having two similar factions face off in a match that surely will play to their strengths is a great idea. Fans might actually like whatever creepy things go on in the match, making them fans. Matches like these are great because they are unexpected. Whatever happens could help them understand the appeal of the two factions.
