Why Jelly Roll Will Succeed in His WWE SummerSlam Match
WWE

This year’s SummerSlam is shaping up to be WWE’s biggest yet for many reasons. There are tons of title matches being contested, and the event is being spread out over two nights for the first time in company history. There’s even more celebrity participation happening at the event, as the country singer Jelly Roll will be in action.

Jelly Roll will be teaming with Randy Orton against the team of Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul. When that was announced, many people groaned and sighed online. They didn’t want a celebrity taking the place of someone like Carmelo Hayes, who isn’t on the card for either night.

But so far, the Jelly Roll experiment has been a resounding success. He has a genuine love for the wrestling business and has made some entertaining content for WWE programming. Given those things, it’s clear that his SummerSlam match will make people want more Jelly Roll in WWE.

Jelly Roll is Taking Everything Seriously

In the past, WWE has employed celebrities in spots or matches to varying degrees of success. Some, like Bad Bunny and Pat McAfee, showcased their abilities and true passion for professional wrestling. Other celebrities didn’t work out that well for different reasons.

It seems that Jelly Roll is in the former category. He temporarily relocated to Florida to train at the Performance Center. Working with names such as Jacob Fatu, Kevin Owens, and The Undertaker has helped him become a quick learner to properly execute wrestling moves in the ring on Saturday night.

This isn’t his first appearance on WWE TV either. He appeared at last year’s SummerSlam, giving Austin Theory a chokeslam to the mat. Some celebrities treat wrestling as a joke.

Jelly Roll is clearly invested in his storyline and training, which is a good indication that he’ll have a strong showing at SummerSlam.

His Physical Transformation Will Help Him in the Ring

At his heaviest, Jelly Roll was 550 pounds. That is an extremely dangerous weight that would’ve killed him sooner rather than later. But, instead of lying around to die, he decided to do something about his health.

Jelly Roll walked half marathons, began eating right, and made drastic life choices to truly turn his life around. Since his health journey began, he has lost nearly 250 pounds. His goal was to be under 300 pounds before his SummerSlam match, and it seems like he has achieved that goal.

To lose nearly half your body weight by exercising and laying off bad foods is a tremendous accomplishment. Jelly Roll now has the ability to do wrestling moves and run in the ring without excess weight bringing him down. Jelly Roll’s transformation has allowed him to entertain everyone by wrestling in his first-ever WWE match.

Jelly Roll Should Be Proud of Himself for His Hard Work

Win or lose, this Saturday will be an amazing day for Jelly Roll. His weight loss journey, which has been nothing short of inspirational and spectacular, has allowed him to compete in a match at SummerSlam in front of thousands of people. When someone loses lots of weight, they discover that they can do things now that they couldn’t do before.

Some people’s weight fluctuates over the years, with their goal weight never reached. Jelly Roll has kept his word about weight loss and is now being rewarded for his hard work over the past couple of years. He is active, his health risks are low, and he’s now teaming with Randy Orton.

I’m sure everyone from his family and friends to his fans is really proud of what he’s accomplished. Jelly Roll deserves this SummerSlam match because of his passion for wrestling and his incredible weight loss.
