With only four dates left in John Cena’s retirement tour, WWE should deliver an exciting build for the legend. Recently, Cena announced a 16-man tournament, where the winner will earn the honor of wrestling him in his final match. Although WWE plans Cena’s last match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, he can still wrestle at Survivor Series: WarGames.
With so many match types for Cena at Survivor Series: WarGames, WWE’s plans remain unclear. WWE could place Cena against past opponents or wrestle in a match he’s never experienced in his wrestling career. What if WWE decides to put John Cena in this year’s WarGames?
John Cena has two RAW appearances lined up towards Survivor Series: WarGames. The next scheduled appearance by John Cena on his retirement tour takes place this Monday on RAW. This is the perfect time for WWE to boost Cena’s direction before heading into his final matchup next month.
Currently on RAW, The Vision (Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed) have been wreaking havoc. Now that Logan Paul has seemingly given his allegiance to Paul Heyman, the group is now unstoppable as ever. In Cena’s case, he can come out on RAW to address his farewell to his fans in Boston. He starts out with a profound speech and references Survivor Series: WarGames. Cena leads excitement to the fans by revealing that he would like to be part of his final Survivor Series.
This would lead to CM Punk coming out to confront Cena. First off, it would be to make peace for Cena’s transgressions towards Punk this past summer. Then, CM Punk challenges The Vision to WarGames and recruits Cena to join his team. With Cena likely approving, Punk brings out another partner down for war, Jey Uso.
Cena’s approval would lead to The Vision with pure rage, leaving them with whom they should recruit for their WarGames team. Now that The Vision and Logan Paul are a unit, it can bring out frustration from Paul as he would want another chance to take down Cena. Both Breakker and Reed would be put to the test to see if they can assert their dominance against “The Greatest of All Time”.
Knowing how Paul Heyman is the most strategic advocate in WWE, he will definitely have something up his sleeve. With Cena being an ally to Punk’s Team, Heyman can counter this pick by revealing their pick, which would be Cena’s kryptonite, Brock Lesnar, leaving Cena stunned in the ring, and Punk not knowing what he must do next. With Cena’s situation, it also gives him a chance to handle conceivably unfinished business.
The announcement of partners could continue on SmackDown of that same week and the following RAW. On SmackDown, The Vision and Logan Paul can make a visit where they recruit one more member. Heyman finds Drew McIntyre to be a suitable member. This time, Punk and Jey Uso appear to encounter the vision by revealing their newest partner, Cody Rhodes. This would be retaliation for RAW, but it still leaves Punk to choose one more person.
Leaving Team CM Punk with a four-on-five disadvantage, Cena will come to aid by revealing an idea Punk might not have been considering. Cena could convince Punk to call Roman Reigns to join them. With Punk’s high respect for John Cena, he accepts Cena’s wish as he wants the Cena he always valued. Roman Reigns appearing on RAW in Madison Square Garden is a massive draw as he would stand together alongside WWE’s other top babyfaces, including Punk, Cena, Rhodes, and Jey.
Seeing this dream team stare down The Vision, Logan, McIntyre, and Lesnar would lead fans to be shocked and give a heavy reception. This viable WarGames Match could be one of the biggest WarGames Matches in history due to its star power. There’s honestly no better way for Cena to go out for his final PLE than to work with WWE’s top stars simultaneously.
With one singles match left on his farewell tour, Cena mentioned that a WarGames Match would be a great way to expand his legacy and face new opponents. With WarGames being a dangerous match to compete in, WWE can protect Cena heading towards Saturday Night’s Main Event by having him enter last for his team.
