Will NXT’s Birthright Faction Help or Hurt its Members?
WWE

For a couple of weeks now, Arianna Grace, Lexis King, Stacks, and Uriah Connors have been hanging around each other. Grace is the daughter of Santino Marella, Stacks is her fiancé, King is the son of Brian Pillman Jr, and Connors is the son of Fit Finlay. They have been calling themselves the Birthright while trying to get the son of William Regal, Charlie Dempsey, to join them. Efforts to do so have been unsuccessful until the March 10, 2026, episode of NXT.

He and Tavion Heights, former NQCC stablemates, were in a tag match against King and Connors. With them on the outside, Finlay and Regal walked out and looked at Dempsey. He promptly suplexed Heights, allowing King to get the pin. It is now acknowledged that all of them (not including Stacks) are multi-generational wrestlers. Will this help them or hurt them?

The Designation Will Push The Birthright to New Heights

When Finlay and Regal convinced Dempsey to join the group, that more than likely signaled their return to television, alongside Marella, all three living fathers are now on WWE and NXT programming. With their heritage confirmed on-camera, they’ll lean on them for support and knowledge.

Grace is also the TNA Knockouts Champion, so the other members will probably get more opportunities in TNA. Allowing for the lineages to be explicitly stated allows for a relationship not applicable to other superstars.

Finlay, Marella, and Regal are actual blood parents to Connors, Grace, and Dempsey. They aren’t their friends or mentors; they are actual family, someone who has spent decades by their side learning about the business. The three men have had legendary careers in WWE and elsewhere over many decades. Passing down the knowledge they’ve learned over the years will help the faction immensely.

This Association Could Put More Pressure on Them

WWE has been very selective about disclosing family lineages for certain wrestlers. Some, like Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, have had their family relations named upon their debut. While others, such as Dempsey and Grace, either just had their familial attachments revealed or were revealed down the line.

That’s because they want to build them up in their own way, away from their family’s shadow. Dempsey was a huge part of NQCC. Grace had her relationship with Stacks revealed after his storyline with the D’Angelo Family

Connors turned his back on Chase U after months of losing. They’ve already accomplished a lot without their father’s help, including Grace betraying Marella on TNA. It seems like banding together could put more pressure on them than if they didn’t mention it at all. If they fail, they might be immediately judged by their fathers, potentially ruining their NXT careers.

How Will They All Proceed Moving Forward?

With Dempsey now a member of the Birthright, the group is complete. Finlay and Regal will return as on-screen presences, at least in an advisory role. With Marella in TNA and Grace being the Knockouts Champion, many more meetups will happen. Given the combination of wrestlers and legends, their run will either go extremely well or very wrong.

If they win, they’ll be successful multi-generational wrestlers, joining the likes of Roman Reigns, Charlotte Flair, and others. But if things don’t go according to plan, many things could happen. Finlay, Marella, and Regal could disassociate themselves from them.

Fans could start judging them against their fathers, potentially stirring up trouble. The faction could fall apart on its own. The way it is set up invites many possibilities for the future. Either they succeed as a group of multi-generational wrestlers, or they fall apart due to pressure or fan reaction.
