Willow Nightingale is injured.
CMLL has announced that Nightingale suffered a concussion on Friday’s show in Arena Mexico during the Women’s International Grand Prix match. She has been pulled from CMLL events on Saturday and Sunday.
A translation of CMLL’s statement reads:
“We regret to inform our loyal fans that AEW superstar Willow Nightingale will not participate in Saturday’s event at Arena Coliseo or Sunday’s Family Event at Arena México as initially scheduled. This decision follows a concussion she suffered during her participation in the Grand Prix of Amazonas. In line with the concussion protocol established by both CMLL and AEW, Willow must refrain from participating in both events to ensure her complete recovery and well-being.
For tonight’s event at El Embudo de Perú 77, the CMLL World Women’s Champion, Zeuxis, will take Willow’s place. Tomorrow at Arena México, the CMLL Universal Champion, Persephone, will step in for her.”
