Seeing WWE legend John Cena post an incredible graphic on Warren Moon permitting Cam Ward to wear his retired number one wasn't on my bingo card, but here we are.
With Cena posting this amazing picture below, and as you can see, no caption was necessary.
John Cena has no known connection to the Titans. But Moon showing up to grant Ward permission to wear his previously retired jersey number seems to have sparked something in arguably the goat of the WWE.
Cena recently became the sole owner of the record for most world championships in WWE history, with him winning his 17th at WrestleMania in April. So while he might not be a long-time fan of the Titans, he certainly has been a true titan of the sports entertainment space. From the WWE to his work in Hollywood on the big screen, you won't find many people who don't recognize the name John Cena.
Expectations are sky high for Titans QB Cam Ward, who is entering the NFL as the number one overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He will arguably have even more on his shoulders now, though, with every snap and throw he makes in a Titans uniform being compared to the greatest QB in the team's history, Warren Moon. Exciting things are happening in Nashville, and a story this fascinating shouldn't be shocking that even people outside of the NFL space, like Cena, are taking notice. This is just further proof that all eyes are on Cam Ward and what he will do as the Titans' franchise QB. We might not be able to see John Cena, but he sure knows greatness when he sees it.
