WWE 2K25 Now Has A Free Netflix Edition That's Playable On Mobile

WWE 2K25 is now available on Netflix as a part of WWE's ongoing partnership with the streaming giant. It's a watered-down version of the game compared to what you can play on consoles and PC, but if you have an active Netflix subscription, you can download and play the game on your phone right now.

Netflix revealed WWE 2K25: Netflix Edition on its website, breaking down the finer details and explaining how this mobile version of the game compares to the full version. The focus of the latest wrestling game's Netflix Edition is its career mode. Choose a Superstar and ascend the ranks, upgrading their stats as you go.

Match Types And Control Schemes In WWE 2K25: Netflix Edition

If you'd prefer to have a little more control over the action, then you can stage your own singles and tag team matches in quickplay. You can also get some weapons involved and have a good old-fashioned no DQ match. Getting to grips with the Netflix Edition might be a little tricky, though, even for the most hardened wrestling game fans among you, as there's no controller.

You can also play in all of these match types against other fans online.

No, like most other mobile games, the controls for WWE 2K25 are right there on the screen. A translucent virtual thumbstick on the left, and command buttons on the right. It will take a little bit of getting used to, particularly when the buttons obscure so much of the screen, especially when you're pressing them, but the simplicity of the game means it will become second nature once you've been playing for a little while.

There are fewer playable Superstars in this mobile version of the game than there are in the full edition of WWE 2K25, but still 40 to choose from, all of whom are listed at the end of this article. 2K and Netflix have made sure to include Superstars from WWE's past and present, as not only is this an extension of their relationship, but it's also a way to bring in more lapsed fans who might not recognize most of the newer names.

WWE 2K25: Netflix Edition is available right now for no additional charge if you have Netflix. Clicking "Get" will take you to the app store where you can download the game, and once that's done, you can start playing. You don't even need to be online once you've installed the game. You will need to make sure you have a phone capable of running the game, though. That's iOS 17 or higher on iPhone, and Android 12 or higher on Android.
