WWE fans have been calling for 2K to honor Bray Wyatt in some way since the wrestler's sudden passing in 2023. That might finally be about to happen as according to a new report, the Wyatt tease shared on social media is leading to a surprise WWE 2K25 update that will be focused around the late Bray Wyatt.
The 2K team got fans wondering what it has planned when it shared a cryptic Wyatt Sicks teaser on Twitter earlier this week. As people started to spin theories about what it might mean, Fightful Select shared new details, confirming not only that a Wyatt-centric update is coming to WWE 2K25 to honor the former WWE Superstar, but the update will be a story-driven one.

According to the report, 2K25's Wyatt update is considered by the team working on it to be the most emotionally powerful narrative it has spun to date. It will also include previously unused Bray Wyatt content, presumably stuff that had been created for WWE 2K24 but went unused due to Wyatt passing before the game was released.
The update will also include video content courtesy of Wyatt's brother, Bo Dallas, and also Dallas's alter ego, Uncle Howdy. One of the last things Wyatt did in his wrestling career before he passed away was finally have the chance to work with his brother in WWE. It's a real shame that whatever the two of them had planned for the Wyatt and Howdy arc never had the opportunity to grow and reach its full potential.
Where exactly this Wyatt content will slot into WWE 2K25 isn't currently clear. While it could be a part of The Island, an add-on to MyRise, or something you need to stumble upon in Universe mode, the way it has been described makes it sound like it will be its own standalone thing. I certainly hope that's the way 2K has gone with it. A separate mini showcase that celebrates Wyatt rather than something shoehorned into a pre-existing WWE 2K building block.
While I'd have loved to see Wyatt's career celebrated via its own full showcase in a future game, if this is going to be its own mode all about Wyatt, that's the next best thing. It might also be so different that a full showcase in the future isn't off the table. Plus, it's a good way to take people's minds off, and potentially make up for May's DLC pack still being a wrestler short thanks to that unrevealed celebrity.
