WWE Appear To Shoot New WrestleMania 42 Commercial with Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan

When WWE released brief, cryptic videos of individuals walking in different shoes last month, it sent fans wild with theories about possible returns. But it was soon revealed to be a cinematic trailer for WrestleMania 42 featuring Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, and Triple H.

While production was praised, the decision to use mysterious vignettes ahead of the big reveal was heavily criticised because fans envisioned a debuting stable or a returning star such as Chris Jericho. There was also a massive backlash over the decision to use only male stars in the commercial.

WWE seems to be filming the second Mania commercial, and this time it looks to be focused on the women's division. In a video posted online by a fan, Ripley, Liv, Becky Lynch, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, Charlotte Flair, and Iyo Sky are seen in the midst of filming while wearing casino-themed clothing.

Mania 42 is again taking place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, on April 18 and 19, 2026. It's the second year in a row that the Show of Shows will be held in Sin City.

While no matches have been announced for the event yet, reports suggest Stephanie Vaquer will still be the reigning Women's World Champion heading into Mania. WWE is believed to be eyeing either Ripley or Lynch as her challenger, and the latter just lost the Women's Intercontinental Championship to Maxxine Dupri.

Liv Morgan Favorite To Win Royal Rumble

Both RAW and SmackDown's women's world title pictures are hard to predict ahead of the Road to WrestleMania 42. Stephanie Vaquer is in her first reign as Women's World Champion as is Jade Cargill as WWE Women's Champion after turning heel and defeating Tiffany Stratton.

It makes predicting a Women's Royal Rumble match winner extremely difficult, especially given reports that Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley are vying for Vaquer's challenger. But Liv Morgan is the bookies' favorite to win the Rumble and go on to the main event at Mania in Allegiant Stadium.

That may well mean Liv, expected back in January from injury, instead focuses on the WWE Women's Championship instead of the Women's World Championship, but are WWE prepared to have a heel vs heel feud? It makes more sense for Liv to be involved in RAW's title match, and perhaps the creative team decides on a triple threat or even a fatal four-way to include Becky and Rhea.
