WWE Could Book Third RAW on Netflix Anniversary Return Alongside Chris Jericho

WWE's first RAW of the year looks set to be one for the ages amid reports suggesting Chris Jericho will potentially make his return in Brooklyn, New York. But he isn't the only return that could occur on the brand's Netflix anniversary show on January 5th.

LA Knight Could Return on WWE RAW

WWE wrote LA Knight off TV on December 8th after he was ambushed by The Vision and there has been much speculation over his status heading into 2026. Some fans thought the company were 'burying' him by having him brutally attacked by Bronson Reed in the parking lot on that episode of RAW.

That wasn't the case, though, as it was booked as part of Knight's storyline, and there are said to be big plans for the former United States Champion this year. His absence led to suggestions he could be a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble match on January 31st in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Knight might be back sooner as Bodyslam.net reports that he is expected to return 'very soon' and could do so on RAW next week. If he were to make his first appearance since early December in Brooklyn, it could be one of three surprises on the night.

Jericho is expected to rejoin WWE after leaving when his AEW contract expired on December 31st, and there is talk of him returning on the Netflix anniversary show. He has spent six years with rival promotion AEW but looks likely to be handed a retirement run in WWE.

Another star who could return on Monday is Chad Gable, who has been out of action since June with a rotator cuff injury. There are also plans for him to become AAA's top heel and feud with Ludwig Kaiser over the El Grande Americano gimmick.

WWE Hall of Famer Wants LA Knight vs Chris Jericho

While LA Knight is most likely to return with revenge on The Vision on his mind, he could be handed a high-profile feud this year. Many believe he is one of the best talkers in the business, and an icon on the mic could soon be back on WWE TV.

Chris Jericho's return has ignited talk of Knight entering a potential program with the 55-year-old. The pair's runs in WWE came at different times in their careers, so it would be a fresh direction for the Megastar.

Bully Ray is among those pulling for Knight to be booked against Jericho at some stage and he would prioritise this as the main reason to bring him back to the company. The WWE Hall of Famer said on Busted Open After Dark podcast in August 2025:

"I would bring Chris Jericho back to the WWE just to work with LA Knight. If you told me that that was the only thing he was going to do for one year, that’s good enough a reason alone."

A feud between the duo could benefit Knight, who has yet to fully win over WWE's decision-makers regarding a consistent main-event run. They could go another direction and book them as a duo, much like they did when AJ Styles debuted and started as a tag team with Jericho before the pair feuded.
