WWE Evolve Results

Your hosts for tonight are Peter Rosenberg & Robert Stone. Kendal Grey is interviewed by Chuey Martinez in a backstage sit-down segment.

Grey talks about her background in martial arts, where she was the only woman to try out this stuff. She knows she is going to be a champion in Evolve, and her plan is to stay undefeated here.

Trill London vs. Harlem Lewis

Ice Williams is seen in the VIP section as each competitor makes their entrance. We haven’t seen Trill London since the first episode when he was demolished by Keanu Carver.

This doesn’t seem like a good matchup for him either. London shows flashes with some Jeff Hardy-esque offense, but it was all futile, as Lewis quickly ends him with a Jackhammer (1:57).

Post-match, Harlem calls out Keanu Carver, only for him to get interrupted by Gallus. Officials come out to hold Lewis, and we segue to our next contest…

Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) vs. Jack Cartwheel, Jordan Oasis, and Cappuccino Jones

Cartwheel begins with Joe, and it’s Joe who gets the better of that. Wolfgang and Cappuccino are next, and it’s another point for Gallus. Mark takes down Oasis as well, before Joe tags in.

We get some early chaos as Cartwheel and Jones dive to take out Gallus before heading to break. We are back, and it’s Mark Coffey who runs wild on the baby faces.

Wolfgang hits a Michinoku driver on Cartwheel, but Jack comes back with a DDT. We turn to Oasis and Joe, and Jordan hits a Blackout Cannonball for two.

A headbutt from Joe earns some separation, and Wolfgang comes in for a big elbow splash. Double spear for Cartwheel & Cappuccino, and a forearm smash/lariat combo earn Gallus the win (5:54).

Chantel Monroe is interviewed in a backstage sit-down segment. She loves to connect with the audience, which is why she joined WWE. She knows she has what it takes to be the face of Evolve women’s division.

Luca Crusifino joins Ice Williams in the VIP section at ringside. It’s Kali Armstrong now who gets interviewed. She believes she has the most mental toughness to survive in tonight’s four-way, which is the most important aspect of trying to win.

Javier Bernal vs. Oro Mensah

They trade strikes and grapples to start, and it’s Javier Bernal who comes out on top. Spin kick by Mensah into a suplex, and he follows it up with a few kicks for two. Mensah talks some trash, so Bernal smacks him a bit to begin his comeback. Big crossbody and a big superkick have Mensah reeling, and a running DDT gets two.

Mensah drags him to the corner, and tornado DDTs him on the ropes. Bernal goes up, only to eat a dropkick there, allowing Mensah to finish him off with a backflip kick for the win (4:46).

Our final sit-down interview before the main event features Brinley Reece. She says everyone wants the same thing: being the face of the women’s division on Evolve.

Evolve General Manager Stevie Turner scheduled three matches for next week:

  • Timothy Thatcher vs. Bryce Donovan
  • Jackson Drake vs. Sean Legacy
  • Carlee Bright in action!

Kali Armstrong vs. Brinley Reece vs. Chantel Monroe vs. Kendal Grey

Our first four-way on Evolve, and it is contested between all the girls! Neither of these four women has been defeated or pinned thus far on this show.

Everyone goes after Kali right away, sending her out of the ring. They then tease a three-way tie-up, but Chantel breaks it up, resulting in a series of roll-up exchanges until Kali comes back in to break things up.

Armstrong goes to work on everyone, dominating all three at once. Double small packages get simultaneous twos. Brinley and Kali are left alone after throwing others out.

Reece with a tornado DDT for two. Brinley goes to a sleeper on Armstrong, and we get a wild four-person submission sequence that ends with no one getting the advantage. Action spills outside, and Grey takes out everyone with a crossbody to the floor, as we take a break.

Grey and Armstrong are battling as we come back, before Monroe and Reece join them, and we get a giant Tower of Doom superplex! It’s Reece’s turn to run wild, but Chantel stops her, and a running splash gets two. Shooting star press on Armstrong is broken up by Grey and Reece.

Grey returns to the frame and locks in an armbar on Reece, but Armstrong comes flying out of nowhere with a huge splash. Grey and Armstrong fight it out, which Armstrong gets the better of, only for Reece to come in and try to steal one with her feet on the ropes, to no avail. Some wild action ensues, and it’s Armstrong who comes out on top in the end with a powerslam on Monroe (10:03).

Next week: Timothy Thatcher vs. Bryce Donovan, Jackson Drake vs. Sean Legacy, and Carlee Bright will be in action!

Final Thoughts

Kali Armstrong is rightfully established as the women’s division top star in what seems to be the correct move. There was nothing too major happening this week, as they look like they are taking a backseat for WrestleMania Weekend, and this episode was all about setting up for next week.
