WWE Fans Want ECW Stipulation For CM Punk vs Seth Rollins at Wrestlepalooza
Seth Rollins, CM Punk & Roman Reigns WWE Royal Rumble 2025

CM Punk and Seth Rollins need to eventually end their feud and fans think WWE's reported September PLE would be the perfect destination.

Fans Want Stipulation Match for CM Punk vs Seth Rollins at Wrestlepalooza

WWE are reportedly considering reviving ECW PPV 'Wrestlepalooza' to counter AEW's All Out PPV on September 20. There are expectations that John Cena will face Brock Lesnar at the PLE, given that the Beast is skipping Clash in Paris (August 31).

That might not be the only blockbuster match that the promotion books on the same night as All Out. Some fans are tipping Punk and Rollins to do battle, perhaps for the last time, and to do so with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line.

Rollins or Punk would have had to win the fatal four-way in Paris, which also includes LA Knight and Jey Uso. Should either come out on top, some think WWE should pay homage to ECW by booking an extreme stipulation.

One fan got the ball rolling:

"Seth Rollins vs CM Punk World Title match at Wrestlepalooza Stip: Hell in a Cell"

A fan replied:

"Seth Rollins vs CM Punk World Title match at Wrestlepalooza ECW Extreme Rules Barbed Wire Match."

Another fan suggested:

"Three stages of hell since it is a former ECW pay-per-view"

One fan proposed a unique concept:

"I Quit Match inside a Hell in a Cell"

Punk and Rollins have competed in two singles matches this year, with the Best in the World defeating the Visionary on RAW's Netflix debut. He beat Gunther to become World Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam earlier this month, until Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to win the title for a second time.

WWE Could Pay Tribute To Raven & Tommy Dreamer's ECW Feud

WWE's reported decision to bring Wrestlepalooza back is obviously an attempt to counter-program AEW's All Out. But they can revive the ECW PPV the right way and ensure it has a theme befitting the event.

That could include bringing an end to the Punk-Rollins feud by booking a 'Loser Leaves RAW' match, which was how Tommy Dreamer and Raven's lengthy ECW feud ended. Dreamer picked up the victory, defeating Raven for the first time and sending him packing to WCW in June 1997.

This stipulation would not only mark the very end of the longest ongoing feud in WWE but potentially allow both superstars to move on to possible WrestleMania 42 main event opponents. If Punk were to lose, he could head to SmackDown and target Cody Rhodes and the WWE Championship while Rollins remains World Heavyweight Champion on RAW and has Roman Reigns coming after the gold.
