As delivered by the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to the man himself, Lex Luger will be an inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame 2025 class. For fans of the “ New Generation” era of the WWE, as well as the Monday Night Wars between the WWE and WCW, Lex Luger was a huge part of that period in the 90s.

In the late 80s, the career of Lex Luger would take its first significant steps when he feuded with legendary 16-time world champion Ric Flair, coming out of their bouts without the championship but all of the credibility that he needed to become a legend of this industry. He was also part of The Four Horsemen in his “Young Stud” persona prior to his battles with the “Dirtiest Player in the Game.”

In 1991, the time for the “Total Package” finally came when he beat the “Nature Boy” to secure his WCW World Championship. After the conclusion of his first run in the Turner-ran organization, Luger made his way to the WWE as the villainous, self-obsessed “Narcissist.”

Not long after that spectacular heel run, the company strapped a rocket on Lex Luger’s back, positioning him as the heir apparent to the throne of the “Golden Era” pillar, Hulk Hogan.

In his time with the WWE, Lex Luger had many unforgettable moments to be proud of, from executing a Body Slam to the gigantic Yokozuna to being the co-winner of the 1994 Royal Rumble Match with Bret Hart that featured a finish that still amazes people to this day.

Fortunately, the Lex Express did not stop there, as he would go back to WCW in 1995, effectively providing fans with one of wrestling’s most shocking moments; Luger appeared on the very first episode of WCW Monday Nitro, leaving WWE behind.

There, Lex Luger would go on arguably his most successful run ever in the professional wrestling industry. Lex Luger was a two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, first defeating Barry Windham in 1991 and later scoring his biggest victory over Hollywood Hogan in 1997.

He was also a five-time WCW United States Champion, holding the title for a then-record 523 days, a three-time WCW World Tag Team Champion alongside Barry Windham and The Giant (Big Show), and a two-time NWA/WCW Television Champion, marking his first singles success.

Suffice it to say that Lex Luger deserves his WWE Hall of Fame 2025 induction. Congratulations to “The Narcissist,” “Total Package,” Lex Luger on his induction into the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame.
