WWE: Huge Return Anticipated For RAW on Netflix Anniversary Show

Chad Gable was playing the El Grande Americano character until he sustained his injury, and the role has been passed to Ludwig Kaiser. The American Made stable leader earned his first WrestleMania match while performing as the masked luchador, defeating Rey Fenix in April.

Fans have been waiting for Gable to return and potentially feud with Kaiser over the Grande Americano gimmick. He is set to be back on WWE TV and that could come as soon as next Monday.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider Elite reports that some in WWE expect Gable to return as soon as the RAW on Netflix anniversary show. This comes after reports last week suggested he was set to become "the biggest heel" in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide and start a rivalry with Kaiser.

One talking point ahead of Gable's return is his role as American Made's leader amid the faction falling into obscurity during his absence. Only Ivy Nile has regularly featured on WWE TV in recent months, while Julius and Brutus Creed have barely been seen.

WWE are keen to make the special Netflix anniversary, also a crossover show with Stranger Things, a night to remember and have booked a world title match as the main event. Bron Breakker challenges CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Reports also suggest Chris Jericho could return to the company that night. The 55-year-old is widely expected to jump ship once his AEW contract expires tomorrow (December 31st).

When talk of Jericho returning started there was much speculation over him being a surprise Royal Rumble entrant. That could still be a possibility if he doesn't show up in Brooklyn next Monday.
