WWE 2K's rosters keep getting bigger every year. There are more than 300 playable characters in WWE 2K25 as the team behind it pulls wrestlers from the past and present to join each new roster. It's hard to imagine there's anyone left fans are dying to see make it into the next game, but the unexpected addition of a wrestler who has never featured in a WWE 2K game to WWE Champions has got fans hopeful they'll make their 2K debut next year.
Viscera has been added to @WWEChampions gameHe deserves to be in WWE 2K26 as well, bring him back to the series @WWEgames! #WWE2K26pic.twitter.com/scPVwlU12T— SmackDown Hotel (@TheSDHotel) May 26, 2025
WWE Champions is a mobile game, and it's not developed by 2K, so there's no guarantee anything that happens within it will affect what goes on in the next installment of WWE 2K. However, that hasn't stopped Viscera fans from hoping. The late wrestler was recently added to WWE Champions, marking the first time he has been included in a WWE game of any description since SmackDown vs. Raw 2009.
SmackDown Hotel shared the good news on Twitter, showing off a look at the Ministry of Darkness version, probably the most famous version, of Viscera is coming to WWE Champions. They noted in the same tweet that hopefully this is the first sign that Viscera is being considered for a return to WWE's mainline games, tagging the WWE 2K Twitter account and requesting the wrestler be added to the roster for WWE 2K26.
If you have any ideas and requests for wrestlers that still don't seem to be on WWE 2K's radar, but you believe they should be and can be, now is the time to make it known. Even though the next game in the series won't be released until March 2026, the final roster will be locked in earlier than you might think. That's evident from some of the signings WWE makes throughout the year either being saved for DLC, or having to wait for the following year's game to make their debut/return.
As for the suggestion that Viscera should be considered for WWE 2K26, it seems to be a popular one. Fans in the replies are requesting all versions of Viscera be added, including King Mabel and Big Daddy V, while others are wondering whether every member of the Ministry of Darkness has ever been in the same WWE game at the same time. Others have floated the idea of 2K26's showcase being Ministry-themed if every member is finally available as a playable character.
