Here Are Your Key Moments From WWE Monday Night Raw For March 9, 2026

  • Adam Pearce opens the show and, before the show begins, he demands that Seth Rollins come to the ring. A flurry of masked men enter the arena, and after a bit of madness in the ring, Rollins unmasks himself and Pearce tells him that he's only been out of the ring for five months, and he needs to know what he's been doing this whole time. Pearce is worried that once The Vision gets their hands on him, it'll be his end. Logan Paul and Austin Theory come out and Paul tells him that end is now. Theory tells him this is the worst-case scenario for him at this moment, and before they can enter the ring, the masked men surround him, and he runs out of the ring. As The Vision scolds Pearce, LA Knight appears and attacks Paul and Theory, and as they get the upper hand on Knight, The Usos appear and help Knight run them off.
  • The Original El Grande Americano is backstage with Danhausen prior to his Intercontinental Championship match. Danhausen asks to see Grande's mask, and he scolds him, telling him he shouldn't take his mask, and that he does not want to team with him. Danhausen then tells Grande that he is cursed for not wanting to team with him, and before Grande can rebut, Danhausen disappears.
  • Dominik Mysterio comes to the ring and demands that he gets a rematch against Penta for the Intercontinental Championship and tells Finn Balor to come to the ring to talk to him. Balor comes to the ring and tells him he's right, if it wasn't for him, he'd still be champion, and he apologized. He said he tried to help him because they're a family. Balor says Dominik can be the best Mysterio of all time, but sometimes he needs to fight his own battles. He says for two years he's been trying to help him, but the more he tries, the more he realizes his dad was right, maybe he is just a spoiled little brat. Mysterio shoves Balor by the throat, and Balor retaliates by kicking him in the head. Mysterio tries to attack him again, and before Balor can hit him, JD McDonagh clotheslines Balor to the ground. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez then join the attack on Balor, with Mysterio hitting him with the timekeeper's hammer, followed by a 619 with the hammer in his shoe. With the attack, Balor is effectively removed from The Judgment Day.
  • CM Punk came to the ring to discuss his war of words with Roman Reigns last week. He says he wasn't sure how he was going to be received by the crowd, but he knows some people are upset with him about what he says, and was called disrespectful. He says Roman Reigns has never respected him before, and when the crowd started chanting OTC, he tells them to hold their breath because he might show up. Punk says he's going to force him to respect the position he holds, and titles in sports are made to find out who the best is in their industry or their field. Punk says the fans deserve him as their fighting champion, and the competition has to level up to get into his air. He says he lowered himself to Roman's level last week, and The Usos appear from the back, after Jimmy Uso mentioned earlier in the evening that he had something to say to Punk. Jey tells Punk he needs to apologize right now, and Punk asks why he's still sending his cousins to do his heavy lifting. As Jey begins to yell again, Jimmy tells him it's got nothing to do with Roman and everything to do with respect. Jimmy tells Punk he's got a lot of respect for him because he speaks his mind and runs right through obstacles. Jimmy reiterates that it's about his uncle who passed and has no voice, and he demands an apology from him. Punk says they're right, he says he respects Sika and Afa because of how they treated him when he needed it, and everyone has shown him that respect except Roman Reigns. Punk says that if Sika can really see it all, he can see how much of a manipulator Roman is. Jey tells him again that it's not about Roman, and that he needs to apologize. Punk tells The Usos he's sorry, and then tells them that he's sorry Roman Reigns treated his whole family like garbage, hasn't apologized for the comments he made about Dusty Rhodes, and how he's tricked them all into believing he cared, and that if he did, he'd be talking to Roman instead of his attack squad. Punk them slams his mic into Jey's chest, and Jimmy hits him, sending him to the ground.

Wait, So Who's Right Here? CM Punk Or The Usos?

There's nothing as captivating as a good story involving Roman Reigns, but this thread feels murkier than ever. CM Punk had an apology demanded from him by The Usos, and after some heavy talking back and forth, Punk and The Usos traded blows, with a shocked crowd unsure how to respond.

We're honestly not sure how this will play out, and everyone's got a bit of being right going on, with Punk stepping over the line about Sika, and The Usos and Cody Rhodes deserving apologies for Roman's behavior. Thr entire crowd felt like the wind got knocked out of them during the segment, and its ambiguity makes it that much more compelling ahead of their match at WrestleMania 42.

Bayley Becomes Number One Contender For The Women's Intercontinental Championship

After almost an entire calendar year of uninspired creative, and a heartbreaking shuffle for her right before WrestleMania 41, Bayley appears to finally be in a position for more WWE gold. She got the pin on Asuka during tonight's gauntlet match and became the number one contender for the Women's Intercontinental Championship, facing AJ Lee next week on Monday Night Raw.

Bayley needs her moment more than ever, and a big moment will hopefully be on the way for her at WrestleMania 42. Whether she wins or losses, we hope the next step is a rematch in Vegas for her, and a big win to elevate her stature once again.
