WWE NXT Homecoming Preview (9/16/25) – The Return of NXT Legends
WWE

There is a stacked card this week for NXT. Recently, we have seen stars return to their roots in NXT, and the action is set to continue unfolding. Over the past few weeks, we have seen the return of Tyler Breeze, Rhea Ripley, Tiffany Stratton, DIY, and more stars that have gone down in NXT history!

Let’s take a look at how these stars will be involved in the event and what the rest of the NXT roster has in store for the audience.

WWE NXT Preview and Match Card

  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair (C) vs. The Culling (Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley)
  • #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) vs. Trick Melo Gang (Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes)
  • Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer, and Tiffany Stratton vs. Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx)
  • NXT North American Championship: Ethan Page (C) vs. Tyler Breeze
  • The Grayson Waller Effect with Oba Femi and Ricky Saints

Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer, and Lyra Valkyria vs. Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx)

Last week, The Fatal Influence came out on NXT and Jacy Jayne was expressing her frustration about how they are not featured on NXT Homecoming. Along with how she should be featured because she is the best NXT Women’s Champion. Her wishes quickly became granted as some former NXT Women’s Champions had a few words for Jayne and the others in Fatal Influence.

Stephanie Vaquer was first to interrupt Jayne, then Tiffany Stratton would come out, then followed by Rhea Ripley. All of these women were former NXT Women’s Champions and have cemented themselves into NXT history. They made their appearance as they weren’t pleased with what Jacy Jayne had to say.

However, after Stratton’s WWE Women’s Championship defense this past week on Friday Night Smackdown, she is not medically cleared to compete at NXT Homecoming. General Manager, Ava, announced on X that Lyra Valkyria will be taking her place.

The six women will settle their differences in the ring this week at NXT Homecoming. Who do you think will come out on top? Will it be Fatal Influence or the former NXT Women’s Champions?

Ethan Page vs. Tyler Breeze

Prince Pretty has returned. Tyler Breeze came out last week after Ethan Page lost the flag match against Tavion Heights. Page was left laying in the middle of the ring with the Canadian flag draped over him.

Breeze came out to simply mock Page by going and taking a selfie with him as he lays defeated in the ring. This act can be looked at as a challenge by Breeze, as they now have an NXT North American Championship match at Homecoming. Next week will Tyler Breeze be able to return to his roots holding his first singles championship with NXT?
