WWE NXT Preview (7/29/25) – Santino Marella Challenges Ethan Page
WWE

This week’s episode of WWE NXT will see TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella step back into a WWE ring. Beyond that, this show could set up some major matches ahead of Heatwave, which takes place in less than four weeks. Here is the WWE NXT preview for July 29.

Jaida Parker and Lash Legend look to step up and challenge Jacy Jayne, but they first have to get past the other members of Fatal Influence. Parker will face Jazmyn Nyx, whilst Legend faces Fallon Henley this week.

Here is all you need to know ahead of the July 29 NXT.

Ethan Page Defends Gold Against Santino Marella

On the July 22 edition of NXT, NXT North American Champion Ethan Page addressed the Texas audience. There, he presented a new version of the North American Championship – one that had the Canadian flag all over it. Just as he was getting into singing the Canadian national anthem, TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella interrupted him.

Marella is a former WWE Superstar himself, and he is also a Canadian national. He personally took offense to Page’s behaviour, and it led to a heated exchange between the two, thus resulting in this match-up. Could Marella be the first TNA star to claim an NXT Championship?

Jaida Parker and Lash Legend Take On Fatal Influence

Jaida Parker and Lash Legend have put their names forward for consideration when it comes to who challenges Jacy Jayne next. They will both have to first get over their individual hurdles (in the form of Fatal Influence) to get to the champ-champ though. Parker will take on Jazmyn Nyx, whilst Legend will face Fallon Henley.

Jayne will surely be watching these match-ups closely, and she might even get involved. Beyond that, Jayne will have to focus on successfully retaining the gold this Thursday, as former TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich cashes in her rematch clause. These two match-ups this week could show what the future holds for the women’s divisions in both NXT and TNA.
