On August 26, WWE held another exciting episode of WWE NXT, featuring six intense matches with plenty of drama and action. It was an epic build-up to NXT No Mercy, which will be on September 27. From tag team chaos to blindfold drama, here’s everything that went down on the latest edition of NXT.

Lola Vice, Zaria, and Sol Ruca vs Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, and Jazmyn Nyx

The start of the night was an elegant six-woman tag match. Sol Ruca and Fallon Henley went after the first round by the scruff of the neck, as it were, by relentlessly battering each other. Each one of the sides made their strong attempts without the intention of giving in. Lola Vice unleashed the heroic last-second leap to land a vicious spinning back fist and subsequently pinned the opponent to win the match.

Tyra Mae Steel vs Alba Fyre Fight in WWE NXT

Tyra Mae Steel has unfinished business after being defeated by Alba Fyre at the NXT Heatwave and is on a mission to take revenge. Although Fyre started things off with early verbal taunts, Steel took control of the match with a series of Suplexes. When Chelsea Green got in the way, Steel stood firm. She overcame the distraction and pinned Fyre, leaving the two on equal footing.

Josh Briggs vs Ricky Saints

In another potentially brutal match-up at NXT, Ricky Saints faced off against the behemoth Josh Briggs. There was intense animosity surrounding this match as the contest spilled out of the ring, and Saints bashed Briggs against the steel post.

Briggs made a comeback and almost won the match with a near-fall and flying clothesline attempt. However, Saints evaded, parried, and finished it off with a spinning DDT , giving the empathic win to NXT’s top babyface.

Tag Team Match: Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair vs. Tatum Paxley & Izzi Dame

Both teams showed great chemistry, as Charlie Dempsey, Niko Vance, and Shawn Spears watched intently from ringside. It reached a turning point when Izzi Dame performed a devastating Pop-Up Powerbomb on Wren Sinclair and gave her team the win in the closely contested match.

Myles Borne v Lexis King (Blindfold)

The Blindfold Match turned out to be one of the evening’s most intense battles. Not only did Myles Borne and Lexis King flail about and have a hard time seeing one another, but this also created great comedic sequences, which made the audience resoundingly chuckle.

Myles Borne would take control soon after the theatrics, hitting a sharp Dropkick, flinging King out of the ring. He then accidentally injured his hand punching at the steel post. King cheated his way to victory by secretly removing his blindfold while the referee was distracted, hitting his finisher for the pinfall.

Kelani Jordan vs Blake Monroe

The last bout saw Blake Monroe dominate the game by attacking the shoulder of Jordan. However, the action intensified when Jordynne Grace intervened and did not allow Monroe to scurry away.

To wrap things up, Kelani Jordan hit a Split-legged Moonsault to an imposing win to close out the night. The August 26 episode of WWE NXT once again proved why the brand remains one of the hottest in wrestling today.

With astonishing upsets and the ridiculousness of a blindfold match, each contest had something special to it. With NXT No Mercy just a month away, the rivalries are heating up, and fans can expect even more fireworks on the road ahead.
