WWE NXT Results and Review (2/17/26) – Ego Injuries

The February 17, 2026, edition of WWE NXT emanated from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL. The 2026 version of NXT is one in the making. Last Friday, at TNA No Surrender, Stacks and Arianna Grace, NXT’s “Power Couple,” showed who is really wearing the pants. If Stacks lost the TNA International Championship to Trey Miguel, Arianna Grace defeated Léi Ying Lee to become the new TNA Knockouts World Champion.

Five matches were advertised for this NXT episode. We’ll know who will face WWE Speed Champion Jasper Troy as Elio LeFleur and Eli Knight collide. OTM, Hank and Tank, The Culling, and The Vanity Project will face off to determine the new #1 contender for the NXT Tag Team Championship. Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan will square off one more time.

Ethan Page will try to break a win record as he defends the NXT North American Championship against Shiloh Hill. Tony D’Angelo’s revenge begins this week as he faces Cutler James, one of DarkState’s four members. Because TNA could be involved, let’s Nygma-dive into what happened last night.

Kelani Jordan prevailed

Since 2023, Kelani Jordan and Lola Vice have squared off 11 times (singles or team match). They seem to be each other’s Joker to their Batman. Kelani Jordan tapped into a ruthless side of her that has been seldom seen. Jordan went right after Vice’s injured right hand, even ducking the spinning backfist, which led to Vice inadvertently smashing it into a wall. Vice rallied, but she couldn’t secure a grip on her submission, allowing Jordan to counter with a match-winning submission of her own.

Ricky Saints’ challenge to Joe Hendry

Joe Hendry attacked Ricky Saints in the parking lot. We found Joe Hendry in the ring. He called out Saints, who appeared on the HBalkony. “We’ve got a meme as Champion,” claimed Saints, who added Hendry stole the belt from him. Because he has a song, the crowd loves him, and Saints is sick of this.

Hendry is a loser, an everyman who doesn’t deserve to be Champion. Being attractive is what makes a Champion. Saints asked for a title match at NXT Vengeance Day (on March 7, in an unknown location). Hendry was on. NXT General Manager Robert Stone made the match official.

Tony D’Angelo’s revenge path begins

Tony D’Angelo has a message for DarkState before the match. They took everything from him, so now he has nothing to lose. In his first match in nearly a year, Tony D’Angelo dominated DarkState’s Cutler James with a massive Spinebuster, ending the bout. After the match, D’Angelo attacked Dion Lennox with the steel steps until NXT officials broke up the fight.

The Vanity Project will face DarkState for the NXT Tag Team Championship

The Vanity Project defeated OTM, Hank & Tank, and the Culling to win the thrilling Fatal 4-Way Match (how hard it is to type that…). The match was pure chaos as all four teams gave it their all, but Shawn Spears found himself the victim of a vicious Double Stomp. As the teams waged war on the outside, Ricky Smokes wisely shoved Brad Baylor on top of the lifeless Spears, giving Vanity Project their biggest win yet.

ZaRuca and Fatal Influence

Zaria told Sol Ruca she was done with their friendship. In the ring, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne said she was jealous of Sol Ruca. Whatever Jayne does, Sol Ruca has amazing matches. “She is a bigger star than I,” stated Jayne. She told us about all her successes in NXT and WWE. Jayne works tirelessly when Sol Ruca has all the glory. Jayne added that Sol Ruca sacrificed her best friend to succeed. But, “Enough is enough.”

Sol Ruca made her way to the ring and said she wondered why Jayne needed to compare herself to her. Ruca promised to snatch Jayne’s soul and become the new NXT Women’s Champion. Fatal Influence attacked Sol Ruca. They offered Zaria a chance to destroy her friend. Instead, she destroyed Fatal Influence. ZaRuca is forever.

Elio LeFleur or Eli Knight?

The Men’s Speed Tournament Final ended controversially when neither Eli Knight nor Elio LeFleur could beat the clock. NXT interim General Manager Robert Stone announced that both Superstars would advance to a Triple Threat Match against Speed Champion Jasper Troy.

Ethan Page broke a record, but Myles Borne broke his ankle

Supported by Hank & Tank, Shiloh Hill was confident in winning the NXT North American Championship. Backstage, the Vanity Project offered its help to Ethan Page. Myles Borne appeared, then Ricky Saints. Also, Shiloh Hill asked Myles Borne not to interfere in the match.

Ethan Page set the record for most NXT North American Championship defenses by overcoming Shiloh Hill in the main event of NXT. Page was in deep trouble early on, forcing his new allies Jackson Drake and the Vanity Project to come out to try and help him.

Because of the interference, the champion managed to hit a Twisted Grin on the outside and then another inside the ring to retain his title. After the match, Myles Borne hit the ring and attacked Page, destroying the Champion’s ankle until he gave him a North American Title Match.

Meanwhile, backstage…

  • The Culling was confident ahead of NXT Vengeance Day. “IT IZ WHAT IT IZ.”
  • The WWE Women’s Speed Championship begins next week. Thea Hail will face Blake Monroe.

Nygma Says

This episode was great. I have been asking since the beginning of the year when NXT Vengeance Day is scheduled to take place. Shazam! A lot of good storytelling and wrestling in this episode. The Vanity Project is still infuriatingly dumb. That goes everywhere, but somewhere.

This new era of NXT is as exciting as it can be surprising. I’ll see you next week as I keep on exploring the NXT world through the NXTNA “cold war.” Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
