For the second year in a row, a stadium will play host to the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE. As the company announced via a press release, the premium live event is going overseas to Canada. It’ll emanate from the Rogers Centre in Toronto on March 1, 2025. Reacting to the groundbreaking announcement, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H took to X.

The Game affirmed that the Road to WrestleMania 41 will be going through Toronto. It’s worth noting that next year’s Elimination Chamber would only be the third WWE event to be held at Rogers Centre, the erstwhile SkyDome. Situated nearby the North Shore of Lake Ontario, the venue has previously hosted WrestleMania 18, which featured the Icon vs. Icon match between Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Hulk Hogan.

Before that, WWE toured the sporting haven in 1990 for WrestleMania 6. Hogan headlined the show with The Ultimate Warrior . About 25 years removed from that night, the current crop of WWE Superstars will vie it out at the Elimination Chamber. As has been the norm since 2018, the event will circle around the high-stakes Chamber matches for both men and women.

The winners of those will receive a world title opportunity at WrestleMania in Las Vegas. In 2024, WWE was in Perth for the Elimination Chamber. The event clocked over 52,000 fans on an evening that saw Drew McIntyre and Becky Lynch win their respective chamber bouts.

It’s still early days to comment on who might seal the coveted spots in 2025. Several local names, like Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Chelsea Green, to name a few, are expected to make the cut for the event among other high-profile stars.

WWE Elimination Chamber in 2025 will be John Cena’s last

Earlier this year at Money in the Bank, John Cena announced his WWE retirement tour. Keeping that in check, the Elimination Chamber 2025 is going to be his last ever as an active wrestler.

That being said, he’s an overwhelming favorite to partake in the men’s chamber showdown should he fails to unlock his WrestleMania fate at the Royal Rumble. Cena, for sure, is going to leave no stone unturned to outlast 29 other men in the Rumble, assuming he’ll be in that match.

Now if he falls short, it’d boil down to the Elimination Chamber to keep his Mania hopes alive. A recent report suggested that WWE is planning for the Peacemaker star to challenge for either of the world titles at  WrestleMania 41. That’d make a compelling story for John, who’d be chasing a record-breaking 17th reign.
