WWE planning massive tag team match for Travis Scott after his controversial involvement with John Cena’s 17th title win
WWE planning massive tag team match for Travis Scott after his controversial involvement with John Cena's 17th title win 3 The Rock, Travis Scott, and John Cena (via- WWE)

Travis Scott played a pivotal role in the Night 2 main event of WrestleMania 41, interfering and costing Cody Rhodes the Undisputed WWE Championship. WWE’s decision to involve the rapper in such a historic moment—John Cena’s 17th World Title win—sparked plenty of controversy. But it looks like that was just the beginning, as WWE reportedly has even bigger plans to keep Scott involved in the storyline.

According to PWNexus, WWE is reportedly planning a tag team match featuring Cena and Scott later this year. Details are still a bit fuzzy on what type of match it will be, but the idea has already been pitched to WWE creative. Given the mainstream buzz and attention Scott brought to WrestleMania, it wouldn’t be a surprise if WWE capitalizes on that momentum and makes this match a reality sooner rather than later.

There were reports that the Grammy-nominated artist had trained for an in-ring debut following his surprise appearance at Elimination Chamber. While nothing came of it at the time, La Flame did get physical at WrestleMania. In what many are calling a receipt, Cody Rhodes hit him with a brutal Cross-Rhodes—an intense moment that quickly went viral across social media.

With that said, WWE has hinted at a few more appearances from Travis Scott in the coming months. The company has been consistently bringing in top celebrities to attract mainstream buzz—names like KSI, Bad Bunny, and even Vanessa Hudgens have all shown their love for pro wrestling. But Travis Scott seems to have taken that love to a whole new level.

Who could John Cena & Travis Scott’s duo face in WWE as a tag team?

John Cena and Travis Scott could become a dominant force in WWE if the company fully commits to pushing them as a duo. With Cena vowing to ruin wrestling as the fans know it, La Flame might just be the perfect partner-in-crime to help carry out that mission. But if WWE is going all-in on this pairing, the big question is—who will step up to challenge them down the line?

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is considering Bad Bunny as a potential opponent for Cena and Scott later this year. If it comes to fruition, it could become one of the biggest pop culture events in wrestling. To balance things out on the opposing side, Cody Rhodes could team up with Bunny, providing a strong counterpart to Cena and adding depth to the storyline.

The Puerto Rican star hinted that WWE was planning to host a major PLE in Mexico this year, and there’s a strong possibility that this could be the headline match for the event. That said, it’s still unclear what Triple H and the creative team have in store for fans after the controversial ending at WrestleMania 41. Time will tell what’s next.

Why WrestleMania 41 ending ft. John Cena and Travis Scott is being considered controversial by many?

WrestleMania 41 had one of the most historic endings in WWE history, but it also sparked major controversy worldwide. The final moments of The Show of Shows saw John Cena walking out as the 17-time World Champion—something no one ever expected to witness. Still, it failed to deliver to the expectations.

It was The Rock ’s lack of involvement that turned the ending into a questionable moment for many fans. The Final Boss played a key role in turning Cena heel at Elimination Chamber, while Travis Scott seemed to be the apprentice of The Great One. It was almost predictable that Cena would claim his 17th World Title this year with The Rock’s help.

However, when the Hollywood star didn’t show up, it sparked a massive backlash from fans, leaving many disappointed and feeling that WWE had failed to deliver. The Brahma Bull played a crucial role in the story, but his absence when it mattered most left the narrative feeling incomplete and directionless, missing the crucial spark to elevate it to the next level.

Latest WarGames Predictions For 2025 WWE Survivor Series

This is the WWE Survivor Series: WarGames predictions for each match. The event takes place this Saturday, November 29, 2025, in San Diego, California. With two WarGames matches and two other championship matches, the card is sure to be entertaining. Men’s WarGames Predictions This WarGames match may have the most total popularity of any previous iterations. It will be Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso versus Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed. Not only is this a name-brand event, but there are also intertwining storylines everywhere. There is an interesting mix of high-flyers and strength, so it’ll be entertaining to see how they use the structure. All of these men have a legitimate claim not to take the pin, for fear of derailing the booking. Paul, who may not be in the match or faction if not for the injury to Seth Rollins, should take this pin. Getting one of your top babyfaces to take the loss would slow the championship or story momentum. Author Pick: Rhodes, Punk, Reigns, and The Usos Author Preference: Punk getting pinned with Reigns coming for his title Women’s WarGames Predictions The women have a name-brand affair of their own, including the nostalgic return of AJ Lee. She is joining Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, and IYO SKY to take on Becky Lynch, The Kabuki Warriors, Nia Jax, and Lash Legend. The in-ring abilities of Sky and Asuka are head-and-shoulders above the rest, but talent like Ripley and Legend are sure to have impressive feats of strength. This prediction feels a bit easier. It seems obvious they brought Lee back for the pop of the crowd, both for her entrance and when she gets the pin. Look for her to cover Lynch to further their rivalry. Author Pick: Lee, Flair, Bliss, Ripley, and Sky Author Preference: Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Jax, and Legend Intercontinental Championship WarGames Predictions John Cena recently took the strap off of “Dirty” Dominick Mysterio, and the young man is evoking a rematch in his hometown of San Diego. This feels like a spot for the retiring legend to put over one of the best the newer generation has to offer. It’s clear he puts in the work, both on his gimmick and athleticism. This match will be highlighted by the false finishes and Mysterio’s greasy heel antics. If this prediction is incorrect, look for the title to be dropped to Gunther in his final match. Author Pick: Mysterio Author Preference: Mysterio Women’s World Championship WarGames Predictions In a match featuring two women who undermine the progress others have made to earn respect beyond their appearance, Nikki Bella somehow finds herself deserving of a championship match after her cringeworthy heel turn against Stephanie Vaquer. While this is another legend looking to put over younger talent, there isn’t much to be excited about if you’re a fan of classic wrestling. Author Pick: Vaquer Author Preference: Vaquer End Of My WarGames Predictions Rant The men’s WarGames match will have plenty of subplots. The interaction between teammates could direct a championship storyline with literally any participant. It’ll be a disaster if they drop the Women’s World Championship to Bella, while the other title match could be booked either way and still be enthralling. Arch Manning has defining performance of college career in win over Texas A&M

In the biggest game of his college football career so far, Texas quarterback Arch Manning grew into the superstar he was touted to be with the nation watching. No. 16 Texas (9-3) earned a huge rivalry win over No. 3 Texas A M (11-1) in Austin on Friday in large part thanks to the second-half play of Manning. Manning was only 8-of-21 for 51 yards in the first half, and the Longhorns trailed the Aggies 10-3 at the break. Texas had an opportunity to kick a field goal and cut the A M lead to four at the break, but an intentional grounding penalty incurred by Manning took that opportunity away. Arch Manning lights up the scoreboard in second half But with the help of a Texas defense that rattled TAMU QB Marcel Reed in the second half, Manning and the 'Horns scored 24 second-half points in a winning effort. Texas' first drive of the second half netted three points, but a strike from Manning to Ryan Wingo on the next UT possession gave the Longhorns the lead and gave Manning some confidence. After another defensive stop, Manning led a six-play, 83-yard TD drive to put the Longhorns up by 10. After Texas A M responded, Manning did as well, running away from the Aggie defense on a 35-yard scoring sprint that ultimately served as the deciding blow. In the end, it was Reed — the more experienced and consistent of the two quarterbacks — that made the back-breaking mistake, throwing an interception deep in Texas territory on a drive that looked poised to end with points. The victory was a team effort for Texas, which will await Saturday's slate of games and beg for several playoff contenders to lose to have a shot at the 12-team playoff field. But it was Manning who would be the face of it. Manning went 14-of-29 for 179 yards and a touchdown through the air and added 53 yards and a score on the ground. The win serves as the biggest moment of Manning's young UT career. Going into Saturday, Manning's sophomore season was marred by inconsistent play. A career day against Arkansas was contrasted by middling performances against Ohio State and Georgia. Standout efforts in wins over Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Oklahoma were overshadowed by no-shows against UTEP, Kentucky and Florida. But Manning rose to his greatest challenge on Saturday, delivering a win in a rivalry game that nobody in the state of Texas — whether they wear burnt orange or maroon — will soon forget.

Frank Ragnow update fits troubling 2025 Lions pattern

The Detroit Lions can't catch a break. On Saturday, the Lions announced that center Frank Ragnow, who earlier this week came out of retirement to rejoin the team for the stretch run, failed a physical and won't be returning this season after all. Per Detroit's social media account, Ragnow's medical check-up revealed a Grade 3 hamstring strain, eliminating the possibility of the four-time Pro Bowler playing this season. Ragnow, 29, left the game with seemingly plenty left in the tank, and his injury setback is another brutal blow for a Lions team that is starting to look cursed. Frank Ragnow's hamstring injury halts comeback before it even begins Detroit has been dealing with several injuries up front along the offensive line, and Ragnow's potential return would have provided stability to a unit that that's become the team's weak link. In Thursday's 31-24 home loss to the Green Bay Packers (8-3-1), Lions quarterback Jared Goff was pressured on 36.7 percent of his drop-backs and sacked three times, via Pro Football Focus. Graham Glasgow, who replaced Ragnow at center this offseason, missed the game with a knee injury. The Lions are also without left guard Christian Mahogany (leg), further depleting the team's depth. Without Ragnow, Detroit must get more creative in figuring out a way to mask its weakness up front if it's to reach the playoffs in a third consecutive season for just the second time in the Super Bowl era. At 7-5, the Lions are a game behind the San Francisco 49ers (8-4) for the NFC's final wild-card spot. On Thursday, they host the Dallas Cowboys (6-5-1) in a potential elimination game for the loser. Ragnow's return would have provided a huge boost at the perfect time, fortifying Detroit in the interior of the line of scrimmage. It was the perfect solution to a growing problem. But as has often been the case this season, when it comes to the Lions, it's never that easy.

Eagles fans loudly booed Nick Sirianni for questionable decision

Philadelphia Eagles fans were fuming at their team after the first half of Friday’s game against the Chicago Bears, and coach Nick Sirianni took a lot of heat for one particular decision. The Eagles offense once again struggled at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa. on Friday, scoring just three points against the Bears. The Eagles tallied just two first downs and 83 total yards in the half while running only 17 plays. Sirianni remained conservative right down to the half. The Eagles got the ball back down a touchdown with 2:47 left, and completed a 1-yard pass on the first play of the drive. Sirianni then opted to let the clock run down to the two-minute warning instead of trying to run another play, leading to loud boos. The Eagles did have all three timeouts left, and Sirianni was likely trying to prevent the Bears from getting the ball back before halftime. Given how bad the offense had been up to that point, however, fans did not care one bit. Sirianni’s plan did not work, as the Eagles wound up going three-and-out. Sirianni was angrily yelling on the sideline at that point as the boos got louder. The Eagles were loudly booed off the field at halftime, and they were lucky to only be down a touchdown. The Philadelphia offense has been a source of frustration for much of the season, but things have hit a fever pitch after their collapse against the Dallas Cowboys last week. The Eagles ended up losing, 24-15. The team is 8-4, but if the offense does not turn around, they will have a hard time repeating as Super Bowl champions.
