WWE has been noticeably increasing its efforts to find and sign new wrestling talent from around the world in recent weeks. Now, it appears the company is getting close to launching.

PWInsider.com reports that this renewed focus on international recruitment has started talk within the company that WWE is now making serious plans to launch its long-awaited NXT Europe brand later in 2025 finally.

This potential expansion into the European market follows several recent international drives by WWE to find new Superstars. These efforts include the WWE UK Tryouts held during the company’s European tour back in March 2025. Those tryouts reportedly led to WWE showing strong interest in signing promising European talents, with names like Spanish wrestler Zozaya, Aigle Blanc from France, and Italy’s Mike D. Vecchio being mentioned, among others.

WWE has been discussing the concept of an NXT Europe brand for some time. The goal would be to set up a new developmental system based in the region, designed to discover and train the next generation of European WWE Superstars and give them a significant platform to grow their skills and careers.

If NXT Europe does indeed launch later this year, it would mark a very important step in WWE’s overall global expansion strategy. It would also give many skilled wrestlers from across Europe a clearer path to a potential career with WWE. More official news on NXT Europe is expected as the company finalizes its plans.

WWE shut down the NXT UK brand a few years ago after launching it over 6 years ago. The brand created several stars including GUNTHER and Rhea Ripley.
