As WWE "SummerSlam 2025" draws closer, the stars of "Monday Night Raw" are looking to handle some business before the biggest PLE of the summer.

Roman Reigns would like to have a word with his former "Wiseman," Paul Heyman, who now refers to himself as "The Oracle." Heyman turned on "The OTC" at the conclusion of "WrestleMania 41" night one. Reigns made his return to WWE TV during the July 14 episode of "Raw," taking out Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

What will Reigns have to say to Heyman, and how long will it be before Breakker and Reed get involved?

CM Punk will also be inside the Toyota Center in Houston. "The Second City Saint" will address his World Heavyweight Championship match against titleholder Gunther. Punk earned his opportunity by pinning Breakker in last week's gauntlet match.

WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch is prepared to make a match proposal for her scheduled title defense against Lyra Valkyria at "SummerSlam." Valkyria has a chance to capture tag team gold on "Raw," as she will team with Bayley to challenge Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

Also, Karrion Kross has been a thorn in the side of Sami Zayn for several weeks. Kross has revved up the intensity by attacking Zayn with a pipe. The two will collide in singles action on Monday in a bout that may not even settle their rivalry, as things may have only begun to pick up.

WWE "Raw" begins at 8 p.m. ET and will air live on Netflix. Athlon Sports will be providing coverage throughout the show.

The No. 1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, CM Punk, opened the show.

Punk said the distractions are on the back burner, and he's now ready for Gunther. Punk admitted that "The Ring General" is one of the best wrestlers in the world. He said he can't promise a win, but with the support of his fans he might just pull it off. Punk warned Gunther that he isn't any ordinary challenger.

Gunther's music played and he entered the ring. The top male champion of the red brand began talking, but the crowd tried drowning him out. Gunther claimed he wasn't in the ring to cause drama. He said there are similarities between him and Punk. Gunther said they both have egos, but his is based on results.

Gunther vowed to drop Punk like a "wet towel." He said Punk will realize he'll never be the best in the world. Before walking off, Gunther said at least Punk has "degenerate" fans cheering for him after "SummerSlam."

Stephanie Vaquer and Naomi Have Run-In

Byron Saxton was interviewing Stephanie Vaquer before Naomi interrupted. Naomi claimed she'll do what Vaquer couldn't do, and that's defeating Iyo Sky, along with Rhea Ripley at "SummerSlam."
