Professional wrestling fans who follow more than just WWE may soon see one of the most popular international stars join the company. A report suggests that Jeff Cobb --- formerly of AEW and currently in NJPW -- is already on WWE's internal roster.

Is Jeff Cobb Coming To WWE?

According to a report from Fightful Select, Cobb’s name has surfaced within WWE’s system, suggesting that the company is already making plans for its newest hire. However, WWE has not officially confirmed that Cobb is on his way, nor have vignettes been teased on programming.

Interestingly, Cobb saw the reports and took to social media to add fuel to the fire. He noted:

"Geez guys relax! I just woke up and holy hell! Look at all these notifications! I guess I have some explaining to do. Well let me calm everyone’s nerves….. the rumors are in fact 100% TRUE. I will be eliminating Naito from the New Japan cup LIVE TODAY! So tune in to njpwworld! #NJPW #NJPWWorld #NJCup"

What happens after Cobb's match isn't known, but if WWE has signed Cobb, he could be on his way shortly. He would be another agile big man in the same realm as Bronson Reed and Jacob Fatu. He has the "it" quality that could turn him into a top performer.

Cobb Is Among The Bigger International Names Not Yet In WWE

Known for his impressive strength and agility, Cobb gained widespread recognition through Lucha Underground, where he portrayed the masked monster Matanza Cueto. He also made several appearances in AEW.

He has been a highly sought-after talent for some time. He was in WWE's system years ago, participating in a WWE Performance Center tryout in 2014.

WWE’s interest in Cobb is not new. Over the years, multiple reports have linked the company to the big man.
