WWE Roman Reigns Out After Clash in Paris Attack

Roman Reigns may have walked out of WWE Clash in Paris with a victory over Bronson Reed. But he didn’t walk out unscathed. He was then provoked by NXT powerhouse Bron Breakker, who then speared him right through the announce desk.

That was not enough, as Reed went back to give Reigns three brutal Tsunami splashes that left the latter totally shattered as referees and officials rushed to the rescue. The company later included about Reigns’ injury. The visuals were certain: Roman gasping in pain, a stretcher carrying him off, and the grimy face of an athlete who had just been dismantled.

The Hospital Angle

On RAW, commentary hammered the point home: Reigns is in the hospital, recovering from his injuries. The TV show went so far as to replay a video of him being stretchered out of the arena, further fueling the drama.

To make things even more flammable, a brief video was circulated over the Internet of Reigns slicing what the fans are already dubbing his hospital bed promo, where he vowed revenge on Bron Breakker. To the old-school wrestling fan, it is a classic storyline. The confusion between reality and fiction leaves a person questioning whether it is real.

Uncertainty Surrounds Heyman and The Bloodline

There was chaos not only on Reigns. His manager, Paul Heyman, also fell victim to the carnage and was said to have sustained a contusion of his larynx in the attack. Roman got injured, and Heyman changed the party. So the question fans ask is, what is or will become of The Bloodline?

The WWE Universe is ablaze as usual:

Did Reigns actually get hurt, or is this a storyline?

When will he return?

Is the Bloodline era over?

WWE officially announced that Reigns is out indefinitely. In reality, it will be September before he can finish filming. So the fans may not see him back in the ring until later this year. But in wrestling, nothing is ever final, as history has shown. Reigns could reappear at any moment. Whether it’s to settle the score with Breakker, reclaim his throne, or kick off the next chapter of his legendary run.

The Big Question: Who Wins the Feud?

Roman Reigns is the untouchable WWE star with years of experience, strong, unstoppable, and accused of being over-protected. But there is a second side to this angle. The shot of the stretched-out, hospitalized Reigns is not merely a plot; it is WWE presenting him as a normal wrestler.

Reigns comes back, and everyone will be anticipating his fight with Bron Breakker. Usually, you would see Reigns recover and trample on the upstart. However, this time it is different. If WWE is serious about pushing Breakker into the main-event scene, what better way than having him defeat Roman Reigns? That would instantly cement Breakker as a top-tier player.

Why Reigns is the best Launchpad for Breakker

Reigns has attained a status in WWE that even a defeat cannot hurt his legacy. His aura is safe because of his star power, legacy, and dominance. This is why it makes sense to pit Breakker against him: a victory over Roman is a career-maker, and even a good showing, despite his defeat, raises the stock of Breakker.

When WWE decides to allow Breakker to grow tall, it will be an indication of a risky step into the future. At least that way it shows WWE has a certain level of confidence in Breakker to place him into such a scenario. In any case, this marks the beginning of the biggest storyline of Breakker’s career.
