Atlanta is the latest city to have the honor of hosting WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. It is a city rich in wrestling history, and WWE has put together a small, yet powerful, card that should blow us all out of the water.

There are only four matches scheduled for Atlanta, but they all have the star power necessary to be great. They are also not ones that are going to be hampered by short runtimes. Four matches fit well within the time work, and they will be given plenty of slack to create some magic.

Four matches are set for Saturday night, but rumors are flying as to who will be walking away the victors. All six men have a great claim to be on the winning side, but only three can prevail. Which ones will have their hands raised at Saturday Night’s Main Event? Let’s discuss below.

United States Championship Match: Solo Sikoa vs Jimmy Uso

Solo Sikoa has had his share of issues with just about everyone who used to be affiliated with The Bloodline. The feud between him and Jacob Fatu has been simmering for a while now, and a showdown at SummerSlam is on the horizon, but in the meantime, he will battle Jimmy Uso in his first United States Championship defense.

Jimmy is an easy fit in this match. There is a ton of history between the two men, and Uso has come to the aid of Jacob Fatu at various junctures. It makes sense to have them go to war, and it should be a serviceable match. They have the chemistry to put together a successful 10–12-minute contest.

Solo Sikoa winning should be a foregone conclusion here. His reign has just started, and it wouldn’t make any sense for Jimmy Uso to upset him. This match is there to get Sikoa over, and will no doubt have some interference from his newly formed faction.

Winner: Solo Sikoa

Seth Rollins vs LA Knight

\Seth Rollins and LA Knight have been lighting the wrestling world on fire. Knight has had enough of Rollin’s reign of terror and has laid his claim to be the Architect’s next opponent. He is the loudmouth hero that plays so well off the heel faction, and the crowd has been responding incredibly well to this pairing.

Both of these men are money in the ring, so there should be a ton of fireworks during this match. There is a ton of heat here, and there will no doubt be a bunch of run-ins from multiple wrestlers. Hopefully, Rollins and Knight put together a tight match before it devolves into chaos. Chances are that’s exactly what will happen.

LA Knight needs the victory more than Seth Rollins. The Money in the Bank holder gets jobbed out a bit before his cash-in, and that’s what should happen here. A victory over Rollin’s would propel Knight into the main event. It’s what the fans want, and it’s what the creative should do.

Winner: Seth Rollins

Randy Orton vs Drew McIntyre

The saga that is Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre will continue this Saturday. Years ago, they went to battle in an epic feud over the WWE Championship. It was a fantastic program that included some brutal matches and helped to solidify McIntyre’s title reign.

As of SmackDown, McIntyre and Orton were joined once again. Orton nailed McIntyre with an RKO, thus setting up this grudge match for Saturday. Judging from past performances, this match will be hard-hitting. These two will put on a fantastic performance; this shouldn’t be disputed. They have the history and the talent to tell a great story in Atlanta.

Coming out of this match, it looks like one of these men will be heading to a showdown with Cody Rhodes. It will be something that will take place after SummerSlam, so there could be a DQ finish here to prolong this rekindling. Drew going crazy and laying Randy Orton out would be the right way to lead this into a gimmick match at SummerSlam.

Winner: Randy Orton by Disqualification

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Gunther vs Goldberg

The wrestling world collectively groaned when it was announced that Goldberg would be getting yet another World Championship match. It’s Goldberg’s retirement match, and yes, there should be some pomp and circumstance surrounding it, but having him battle for a World Title isn’t exactly what we would like.

Negative’s aside, this will be a high-intensity match. Gunther and Goldberg are known for their intense nature, and they will lean heavily on this. It won’t be a great match, but if they keep it short, it could be a fitting send-off for a one-of-a-kind performer.

There is always the nagging feeling that Goldberg might win the championship in his last match, but Triple H shouldn’t let us down. Gunther has been built as the gold standard, and having him drop the strap to a 58-year-old Goldberg is not an option. Gunther will be taken to his limit at Saturday Night’s Main Event, but will prove why he is the World Heavyweight Champion.

Winner: Gunther
