Highlights:

The October 3, 2025, edition of WWE SmackDown emanated live from the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. The show was headlined by WWE Champion Cody Rhodes teaming with "The Viper" Randy Orton against Bron Breakker and "Big" Bronson Reed of The Vision with Paul Heyman in their corner.

Breakker and Reed picked up the win over Rhodes & Orton after a surprise interference from World Heavyweight Champion Seth "Freakin" Rollins, who will face Rhodes for the Men's Crown Jewel Championship next Saturday at WWE Crown Jewel: Perth. Rollins ran into the ring from the crowd and nailed Orton with a stomp.

While walking up the entrance ramp, Rollins went against the clear advice of "The Oracle" Paul Heyman and returned to the ring — attempting to hit Cody with a stomp. Rollins should have listened to Heyman because he ate a Crossroads from Cody.
