This Friday’s WWE SmackDown is stacked, feeling like a Premium Live Event. If you’re interested in what’s going down on the Blue Brands, here’s a full WWE SmackDown preview for June 20th, 2025. With that short “hype package” out of the way, let’s run it down.
Alexa Bliss may be facing her toughest opponent to date since returning, as she faces off against Asuka in the semis of the Queen of the Ring Tournament. The “Goddess” impressed when she won her Fatal 4-Way Match against a stacked field, defeating the likes of Alba Fyre, Candice LeRae, and future Hall-of-Famer Charlotte Flair.
In whatever she does, Alexa Bliss is always a clear favorite, and that applies to this year’s edition of the Queen of the Ring tournament. However, her opponent, who returned just this past Monday night, may have turned this whole tourney on its head.
After over a year away from in-ring WWE competition, the “Empress of Tomorrow” Asuka showed up and showed out this past Monday on WWE Raw, winning the four-way against heavy-hitters, such as Ivy Nile, Raquel Rodriguez, and Stephanie Vaquer.
Asuka looks like she hasn’t missed a step after being on the shelf. This Friday night, two of the best WWE has to offer over the last decade collide to secure a spot in the finals.
Who will come out on top?

R-Truth, or Ron Killings, depending on who you ask, has been the thorn in the side of Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena since returning to WWE . Truth cost Cena and Logan Paul a win at Money in the Bank against “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. On last week’s SmackDown, Truth would jump the “last real champion” over and over again, prompting WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis to intervene.
Truth wants only one thing: a match with John Cena on this week’s SmackDown. Wish granted. R-Truth can finally get his revenge this Friday night after countless embarrassments and beatdowns from Cena in months past. However, Ron Killings might be in the driver’s seat now, meaning John Cena will have to come up with a whole new game plan if he really wants to bury Truth once and for all.
How will John Cena tackle this match with R-Truth? Let’s all find out this Friday night on SmackDown, which you can watch on the USA Network and Netflix!
