WWE SmackDown Results (2/20/26):

After his intense Triple Threat Match last week, The “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes leads off this week’s WWE SmackDown. Rhodes, in vintage fashion, asked Fort Lauderdale what they wanted to talk about.

Before he could continue, Jacob Fatu would enter the arena. Fatu stated Cody wouldn’t even be talking about Elimination Chamber if it wasn’t for Drew McIntyre, because he had him and Zayn beat if it wasn’t for the interference.

However, Jacob said that Cody isn’t his concern right now; he wants Drew right here, right now. SmackDown GM Nick Aldis said he knew this would happen, so he gave McIntyre the night off, as he wants to preserve the sanctity of the next PLE, and if Jacob wants, they can talk about Fatu getting his hand on McIntyre in his office.

Drew McIntyre would appear from a suite at the top of the arena, saying he loves SmackDown so much he decided to spend his day off in Florida. McIntyre would provoke Fatu, calling him “all bark, no bite.” Jacob would go nuclear, assaulting WWE security before he could get to Drew.

Aldis said Jacob needs to stop, or else he’ll suspend him. Fatu would see the light and walk off. McIntyre would get on the mic, saying everyone wants the champ, with Cody rebutting that everybody wants him because he’s an “as*h*le.”

We see Ilja Dragunov hype up Carmelo Hayes, saying he’s “him” and he doesn’t “miss,” and he’ll go on to Chamber, and eventually WrestleMania 42. Melo, in a friendly banter, said he doesn’t need to be told that.

Dragunov agreed and said that’s true, but if there’s one thing he could tell him, it’s that he’s not walking into WrestleMania as U.S. Champion.

Before Tonga and Dragunov got into it, we see Fatu and Aldis talking, with the SmackDown GM telling Jacob he needs patience; he will give him Drew McIntyre soon enough, with the “Samoan Werewolf” saying he can’t wait much longer.

Ilja Dragunov vs. Tama Tonga

The “Mad Dragon” looks to take care of business as he takes on one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Tama Tonga of MFT. Dragunov and Tonga did not hold back, unloading an intense flurry of strikes against each other. WWE Universe, this was by no means pretty, but it was certainly physical.

After an intense back-and-forth, Dragunov would go on a roll, hitting key strikes and taking Tama for a ride with a series of German Suplexes. Ilja almost had Tama after hitting the Constantine Special. Tonga would kick out and execute a couple of high-impact strikes to ground Dragunov.

Ilja would counter with a Back Suplex, followed by a Top Rope Senton. Unfortunately, MFT would get involved. Ilja had Tama in situations where he could’ve hit an H-Bomb and a Powerbomb, but the distractions were too much for even Dragunov to handle.

As he turned his back, Tama Tonga would hit him with the Cutthroat for the win. Solo Sikoa would get on the mic, saying they thought he was playing, but he isn’t, and MFT is out for blood and gold on SmackDown.

Dragunov would jump him, but would get overwhelmed. Even with Matt Cardona and Apollo Crews coming to Ilja’s aid, they were way too much to handle. The lights would go out and we see Uncle Howdy on the tron, saying if Sikoa was the “shining light” he should stand on his own and not use his family as a crutch.

Howdy made a declaration that the next time he gets into a SmackDown ring, he’ll be alone, but the question remains: Is Solo confident enough to do the same?

Backstage, we see Aldis saying that McIntyre should not test him, and Drew would surprisingly leave the arena. Byron Saxton caught up with Randy Orton, asking how he feels about Chamber and being in there with his friend Cody Rhodes.

Before he could say anything, Zelina and Aleister Black would try to get into the head of Randy Orton, wanting to “bring out the monster” that’s always been in there. Orton said there’s only one version that Black should be concerned about, and if he’s willing, he’ll talk to Aldis, as he challenges Black to a match tonight.

We hear from WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill next.

Jade Cargill Speaks to the WWE Universe

Cargill made a confident and empathetic statement, saying she’ll be on WWE Raw in Atlanta to oversee Liv Morgan’s WrestleMania 42 decision on Monday. Jade also put everyone on notice, saying that regardless of who wins Elimination Chamber, it will be for nothing because she’s still “that b*tch.”

Charlotte Flair’s music would blare through the stadium, interrupting Jade’s walk back through the curtains, as the two got into each other’s faces before being pulled off by WWE officials.

Women’s 2026 Elimination Chamber Triple Threat Qualifier

To secure the penultimate spot in the 2026 Women’s Elimination Chamber Match, Charlotte Flair takes on Kiana James and Nia Jax in a qualifier. In a match of the night candidate, all three women showed out. But in the end, Kiana James scored the unprecedented win in a breakout performance.

Oba Femi vs. Kit Wilson

Well, nobody expected this to work out in Kit Wilson’s favor, but he did try. Wilson would try to appease or provoke; no one was really sure what Wilson was doing, Oba Femi. After reading a couple of poems to the “Ruler,” Femi would ragdoll Wilson, and then eventually, hit a Fall From Grace to once again conquer in the ring.

Tiffany Stratton vs. Alba Fyre

After “injuring” Chelsea Green, Alba Fyre looks to avenge her boss as she takes on former WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton. In a very competitive match, where we saw a leg brace-wearing Chelsea Green try to cost Stratton on multiple occasions, Stratton would nab the victory.

Fyre had control until she went for a Swanton Bomb, and Tiffany got her the knees up. Stratton would go full-on beast mode, lifting Alba on her shoulders and going in for a Front-Rolling Fireman’s Carry Slam, quickly transitioning into a Prettiest Moonsault ever to build momentum for next week’s 2026 Women’s Chamber.

Backstage, we see Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn have a verbal altercation, with the latter saying he didn’t expect Rhodes to stab him in the back. Cody would reply that he capitalized, and that’s what needed to be done.

Unfortunately, per Rhodes, he did what needed to be done, and Sami wouldn’t, and that’s why he’s still not won the big one. Zayn said it’s easy for the “golden boy” to say, and Cody would reply that he had his own sacrifices, but he had to make certain decisions to ensure he gets to the top.

Trick Williams would briefly stoke the fire, insulting Zayn. Sami would run after Cody and apologize, as the two seemingly patched up their differences.

Men’s 2026 Elimination Chamber Triple Threat Qualifier

We head over to the men’s side of the Elimination Chamber qualifiers as we see United States Champion Carmelo Hayes enter first, ready to battle it out with Damian Priest, and old running buddy, Trick Williams.

All three were on their A-Game tonight. However, Trick Williams would find it in himself to put away Damian Priest, and his former Trick Melo Gang partner, Carmelo Hayes, in an extremely close match.

Giulia vs. Rhea Ripley

In a dream match, Women’s United States Champion Giulia takes on one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Rhea Ripley. Giulia proved tonight how much of a monster she can really be, taking it to Ripley all match long. Mami could barely string together offense with Giulia just dropping bombs left and right.

Giulia had her on the ropes, hitting a Hurricanrana followed up by an Arrivederci Knee. Ripley would kick out, quickly getting back on her feet to hit a thunderous Headbutt on Giulia. Rhea would set up for Riptide, only to get interrupted by Nia Jax and Lash Legend, as they beat up the former Women’s World Champion.

Her championship partner, IYO SKY, would enter the fray, evening the odds and chasing off the wolves. In the women’s locker room, Charlotte Flair apologized to Alexa Bliss, “consoling” her after failing to qualify for the Chamber. Bliss would say she’ll be fine on her own.

Kiana James and Giulia would enter the scene, trying to drive another wedge between the two, calling them “co-dependent.” James stated that she and Giulia know that the partnership between them is purely business. Bliss would infuriate Giulia by telling her to “prove it,” as James would haul Giulia off.

Backstage, Solo Sikoa would gameplan with Tama Tonga for next week’s SmackDown, saying it’s integral that he has his support. Shinsuke Nakamura would intervene after Sikoa walked off, saying that the MFT is holding back Tonga, and he should think about his next moves.

Randy Orton vs. Aleister Black

For the main event of this round of WWE SmackDown results, Aleister Black goes to war with the very man he provoked earlier in the night, the “Viper” Randy Orton. As locked in as he’ll ever be, Orton ran circles around Black for the majority of this matchup.

Orton went on a roll, hitting his vintage sequence of Clotheslines, a Powerslam, then eventually, a Draping DDT. Randy would take it one step further by Back Suplexing Aleister onto the announcer’s table, then dangling him off the edge of said table to deliver a violent Draping DDT onto the floor.

Randy had this match all but won, but Drew McIntyre would interfere, hitting him with the Undisputed WWE Title. Cody Rhodes would try to make the save, but the damage was already done; McIntyre had already high-tailed it out of the arena. Aleister Black would deliver the final blow by landing a Black Mass on Orton, pinning the “Apex Predator” to end this week’s SmackDown.
