Sound the alarm in San Diego, California; we are all headed for WarGames! One big cage, two rings, 10 competitors, and they’re about to wage a battle unlike anything the WWE Universe has seen before. WWE’s “Thanksgiving Day Tradition” packs on the action, just in time for the Turkey-stuffing holiday. Folks, prepare for war. Here’s a WWE Survivor Series: WarGames preview for November 29, 2025. Let’s run it down.

Men’s WarGames Match

It. Is. Wargames! All 10 of these men were bound for a collision course sooner rather than later, and they get to release their pent-up frustrations and aggression in San Diego on November 29th. This all started when the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion was confronted by Logan Paul and was blindsided with a pair of Brass Knuckles, as the “Maverick” aligned himself with The Vision, a unit Punk has major problems with.

Fortunately for the “Second City Saint,” three other men had problems with Paul and The Vision: Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and The Usos. When Team Punk thought they had the momentum back, a suspended Drew McIntyre would even the numbers.

With two final slots available for each team, “The Beast” Brock Lesnar would rear his ugly head back into WWE, promising devastation for CM Punk and his group. But Punk called in a favor and enlisted the help of a man who has nuclear issues with Paul and his cohorts.

As Lesnar closed out Raw, officially joining Paul and The Vision’s team, the “OTC” Roman Reigns would enter Madison Square Garden, making it an even five-on-five for WarGames.

All involved have an axe to grind with one another, and the animosity is about to combust in one of the most dangerous matches in WWE history.

Will Team Punk finally dish out some much-needed revenge? Or will Team Paul continue their respective reigns of terror?

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: John Cena vs. Dominik Mysterio

It’s been quite a ride for John Cena and his WWE retirement tour. He won his 17th world title, main-evented some of the biggest PLEs, all the while facing some of the best and biggest the company had to offer, along with reigniting some of his best rivalries. When we thought we’d seen everything there is to see out of the “Never Seen 17,” then he pulls one more trick out of his deep bag.

In his last time in his home state of Boston, Massachusetts, as an active WWE competitor, John Cena would notch one more achievement to reinforce his WWE G.O.A.T. status by winning the only title that had eluded him over his nearly 25-year career: the Intercontinental Title.

On top of that, he manages to become a WWE Grand Slam Champion, which means he has won every conceivable title WWE has on hand. Of course, the man he won it from isn’t necessarily happy about losing the IC strap.

The current AAA Mega Champion, Dominik Mysterio, has reigned supreme with the workhorse title since winning at WrestleMania 41. Unfortunately for Dom Dom, he got unnecessarily cocky, challenging the absolute best the wrestling industry has ever seen, and he was taught a valuable lesson by not trifling with the “Champ” himself.

Whatever happened has happened, but Dominik wants revenge and his Intercontinental Championship back. Not one to pass up a fight, John Cena will put up the Intercontinental Title at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, which, in fact, will be his final WWE PLE appearance.

Up to the twilight of his WWE Retirement Tour, John Cena will bring the fight and defend the Intercontinental Championship as if he’s here to stay. On the other hand, Dom Mysterio wants the championship he felt like was unjustly taken away from him in an impromptu matchup.

Will John Cena hold on to the IC Title a bit longer? Or will Dominik Mysterio make good on his promise and beat the G.O.A.T.?
