WWE Unreal Season 2: Latest Updates and Plot Points

It appears that the second season of ‘WWE Unreal” is taking shape. The series made a major splash on Netflix for WWE when the first season was released on July 29, 2025. Now there is some information regarding the second season from BodySlam+.

What Might Happen In The Second Season?

According to BodySlam+ via F4Wonline, several WWE wrestlers will soon be interviewed for the show. The list includes R-Truth, IYO SKY, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Naomi, Lyra Valkyria, and Penta. Per the outlet, WWE and Netflix have reportedly completed a “significant amount of filming” for the next season.

What will likely be some of the plot points of the second season? R-Truth’s WWE release, the backlash, and his return are one topic. As noted, R-Truth was released on June 1, 2025, after his contract expired without renewal. There was fan backlash, and within days, he was rehired. That will definitely be interesting to see the whole backstory.

Another topic is the great ruse that happened at SummerSlam. Almost everyone believed that Seth Rollins was legitimately hurt. He (and his wife, WWE Superstar Becky Lynch) even used social media to showcase those injuries. So when Rollins walked out right after CM Punk defeated Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam, with crutches, it looked like a clear thing. But nope, he was indeed fine and proceeded to successfully cash in his Money in the Bank suitcase.

Rollins later learned that karma is real. He was sadly for real injured during Crown Jewel in Perth and two weeks later had to relinquish the Heavyweight Title. November 1 came around, and it was Punk vs. Jey Uso for the vacated title, which Punk won.

A release date has yet to be announced for the second season. But if it’s true that they have filmed a large amount, it won’t be a long wait.

The docuseries opened up with a lot of behind-the-scenes information for fans, like the Gorilla Position being explained in great detail. Also, Triple H reacted to Rhea Ripley suffering a third-grade AC sprain in the middle of her feud with Liv Morgan, and fans saw how important producers were for the matches. It was revealed how they are quick to change things in a flash if there is a problem in the match. It's not an easy job.

There was also a backstage look at John Cena's heel turn. It’s definitely an eye-opening series, especially with how guarded WWE has been when it comes to the company’s backstage antics. There have been documentaries in the past, but “WWE Unreal” is nothing fans have really seen before.
