After a lukewarm Backlash premium live event (PLE), all eyes are on WWE's next TV special, Saturday Night's Main Event XXXIX, which is set to take place on May 24.
A few matches for the special were revealed on Monday Night Raw, with a major title contention scheduled for the event.
Currently, the most important match scheduled for Saturday Night's Main Event is the World Heavyweight Championship match between "Main Event" Jey Uso and Logan Paul. The challenge against the first-time champ was set up by Paul after last week's Raw episode.
Before that match, however, Uso's embroiled in another ongoing conflict. After saving CM Punk from a beatdown by Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker at the opening segment of Raw, Jey is now also scheduled for a non-title match against Breakker in next week's Raw episode.
Meanwhile, "The Ring General" Gunther, who defeated announcer Pat McAfee in a lopsided match at Backlash, also announced that he'll be challenging whoever wins in the championship match next. Having lost his championship at WrestleMania, Gunther wishes to enact his rematch clause for another chance at the gold.
Another marquee match for the event is the tag team match between the team of Seth "Freakin'" Rollins and Breakker against CM Punk and Sami Zayn. There's no love lost between Rollins and Punk, who have been feuding since Punk's return to WWE two years ago. Zayn agreed to team up with Punk on last night's Raw in an attempt to put a stop to Rollins' devious plans.

More matches are expected to be announced Friday on SmackDown, from where we'll likely learn about Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena's next challenger. Cena, who won his match against lifelong rival Randy Orton at Backlash, aims to retire with the championship, "ruining wrestling for everyone" in the process.
Saturday Night's Main Event will be broadcast on May 24 on NBC and Peacock in the United States and on YouTube for international audiences.
