WWE Wrestlepalooza Predictions (9/20/25)

WWE has dipped back into the vault. They have their regular PLEs that we see every year, but from time to time, they bust out a name from wrestling’s past. This time, they have reached into the pantheon of ECW history, bringing back WWE Wrestlepalooza. Interestingly, WWE has chosen this as their newest vehicle, but who are we to argue when they have absolutely stacked the card?

Saturday is the first PLE to come to us from ESPN, and WWE has ensured that it will be a memorable night. There are five matches scheduled, each with the potential to be the main event of any other PLE of the year. It will be a glorious night for WWE, and one where the winners will stake their claim as the company’s best. But who will those winners be? Let’s make some WWE Wrestlepalooza predictions.

Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed vs The Usos

Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed have benefited tremendously from their pairing with Paul Heyman.  They have emerged as legitimate top talent, and their path of destruction leads them into Saturday night against one of the most decorated tag teams in WWE history.

This is going to be a great match to watch. There is a great contrast of styles here, and given the proper amount of time, an intriguing story can be fleshed out. The Usos will face an uphill battle against the larger and younger challengers, and this story will dominate the match. It will be fun to see how this contest plays out, but in the end, you have to go with Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker getting the victory. Going over The Usos would be a massive moment for the two and legitimize their pairing.

Winners: Bronson Reed & Bron Breakker

John Cena vs.  Brock Lesnar

Since his auspicious return at SummerSlam, the wrestling world has been waiting for Brock Lesnar to face John Cena. Their feud carries decades of WWE history, and it’s an essential pairing for John Cena’s final run. Both are a bit longer in the tooth now, so the action might not be as furious as past contests, but they should still be able to get some great stiff shots in.

It’s hard to see John Cena not getting the win here. He has six dates left on his retirement tour, and any loss at this point seems like a misstep from WWE. John Cena needs to end his career on a high note, and a victory over Brock Lesnar is necessary for this.

Winner: John Cena

Women’s World Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer vs IYO SKY

It took us a bit longer than was initially expected, but this Saturday, Stephanie Vaquer will get her chance at the Women’s Heavyweight Championship. Instead of Naomi, it will be IYO SKY standing across from her, giving us all a chance to see something pretty special. Iyo Sky is a big match machine, putting on banger after banger, and Vaquer is no slouch herself. These two women have the potential to put on the match of the night if given the proper time.

Both women are ripe for a championship run here. IYO SKY never got a proper shot after being cashed in on, and Stephanie Vaquer is the future of the women’s vision. Both would make an ideal winner, but let’s lean in the direction of Stephanie Vaquer. She is the new face on the block, and the fans love her. It’s time for La Primera to win the gold.

Winner: Stephanie Vaquer

Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch vs. CM Punk & AJ Lee

Mixed tag team matches usually don’t work.  Involving one person who can’t work, they can be a slog to get through; that won’t be a problem with this match. To begin with, the chemistry and hatred between all four parties will make this a drama-fueled match that everyone will want to watch.  Add to that the fact that Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, CM Punk, and AJ Lee can wrestle, and we have the makings of a contest that we will talk about for years.

This is the hardest match to predict. Both teams have oodles of momentum behind them, and a win would be a huge deal here. Honestly, this feud has some legs left in it, so the heels getting the sneaky win here makes sense. Also, there are a lot of babyfaces getting the victory on this card, and this is where the heels break it up.

Winners: Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch

WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes vs Drew McIntyre

This has been the showdown that we have all been waiting for. Drew McIntyre has been the best heel in the company for a few years now, and he deserves a main event program. There couldn’t be a better babyface for him than Cody Rhodes, who has matched all the intensity McIntyre has produced. It will be a hotly contested match and should equal the quality of every other match these two have been in this year.

It would be amazing to see WWE swerve the world and have McIntyre win the WWE Championship. Lord knows he deserves a win after the tremendous work he has put in, but WWE won’t do that here. Cody Rhodes is the big money babyface and should be walking into WrestleMania season with the title around his waist. Don’t expect any huge surprises here.

Winner: Cody Rhodes
