WWE makes its ESPN debut live in Indianapolis for the Premium Live Event WWE Wrestlepalooza. The card is absolutely stacked from top to bottom, bringing us every dream match and rematches the WWE Universe thought they wouldn’t see or wouldn’t see again. It all goes down September 20th, 2025, live from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indiana. Now that you know all the details, let’s get right into it. Here’s a full WWE Wrestlepalooza preview, as well as our very own predictions of the winner. Let’s run it down.

WWE Wrestlepalooza Preview & Card (9/20/25):

  • John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar
  • WWE Women’s World Championship Match: IYO SKY vs. Stephanie Vaquer
  • Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch vs. CM Punk and AJ Lee
  • The Usos vs. The Vision (Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed)
  • Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Drew McIntyre

John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar

John Cena was riding high despite losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. Why? He might have lost the title, but he won back the trust and love of the WWE Universe. Unfortunately, that high wouldn’t last, when a returning Brock Lesnar made it explicitly clear that he wanted to be part of the John Cena Retirement Tour, and possibly end it earlier than planned.

Cena knew he was in for a big battle with “The Beast,” but he didn’t know when. John Cena soon found out that Lesnar was on his way back and wanted his head ASAP. Fresh off his win at WWE Clash in Paris against Logan Paul, Cena would celebrate with the WWE Universe on his final SmackDown, and fittingly took on Sami Zayn in a “U.S. Open Challenge” for the United States Title.

The match was a blockbuster, but Brock Lesnar would play spoiler, delivering an F5 on Zayn, then Cena. On two separate editions of SmackDown, Lesnar would address the WWE Universe, but he only wanted one thing: Cena’s head on a stake. R-Truth got caught in the crossfire, as did the WWE commentary team, trying to defend Cena’s honor, and for merely doing their jobs. For his troubles, Brock would deliver an empathic F5, saying that he’ll see John at Wrestlepalooza.

This would continue for weeks between the two, with Lesnar sending messages on SmackDown, and Cena making heated replies on Raw, drawing the line in the sand and setting the tone for an intense encounter on Saturday night.

All of the meetings between Cena and Lesnar involved a ton of bloodshed, and Brock wants to up the ante in their final meeting. Of course, we can’t count out John Cena by any means. If anyone can slay The Beast, it’s got to be the “Never Seen 17.”

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch vs. CM Punk and AJ Lee

Anything can really happen in the world of WWE. In 2023, we saw the return of CM Punk, a development we thought would be impossible considering the circumstances of his exit. For the last two years, Punk has had arguably the best run of his career. However, a torn on his side that remained throughout those two years was Seth Rollins.

Rollins cost Punk a WrestleMania main event win, as well as the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on multiple occasions, with his wife, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, joining in on the party. Punk desperately needed help in fighting this war. And he could not have asked for a better partner.

After over a decade away, AJ Lee made her return to WWE to stand by her husband and confront The Vision. Lee made quite the statement in her first night back, giving Lynch a black eye and keeping the Women’s IC Title around her waist to taunt “The Man.”

On the Monday following her return, Lee would continue to keep Becky’s title around her waist, pushing for Lynch to demand the title back, even bringing Rollins along to get it back. AJ stated that if she wanted it back, she needed to take it, which Becky did not want to do after the shiner she got. Alternatively, Lee proposed a tag match at Wrestlepalooza. After CM Punk showed up and tried to hit Rollins with the GTS, Seth was livid, accepting the match immediately on his wife’s behalf.

On this past Raw, Rollins and Lynch got their licks back, physically assaulting Lee and embarrassing Punk once again.

This series of events leads us to a match we thought we’d never see. A decade later, AJ Lee comes back to a WWE ring, teaming up with CM Punk to take on WWE World and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

Who will come out of this blockbuster double with their arms raised high?
