WWE star Naomi has opened up on the emotional moment she learned she was pregnant, sharing details about how she discovered it, her health struggles, and how the news has affected her personally and professionally.
Naomi, who is seven weeks pregnant, first revealed her pregnancy live on the WWE Raw event held on Monday during a segment fully reserved for her to share the news.
Naomi, as well as her husband and fellow WWE superstar Jimmy Uso, joined Stephanie McMahon on the "What's Your Story?" show, and said she took a pregnancy test on August 10 while traveling with WWE, explaining she had been feeling “a little different” and wanted to rule it out.

“I found out Sunday on the road in my hotel room,” Naomi said. “Had been feeling a little different, a little weird. Wanted to take a test to make sure and rule that out. Not thinking because it’s been a long journey with fertility issues that I’ve had. I really didn’t think it was possible.”
The wrestler revealed that few fans know the extent of her medical history, as Naomi had to undergo an oophorectomy before her WWE debut, which removed her right ovary, and a six-hour myomectomy in 2020 to remove fibroids.
“On top of being 37 and only having one ovary, we thought that, naturally, I couldn’t anymore,” Naomi said.
The procedures kept Naomi out of the ring for months and left her uncertain about the possibility of having children.
Although Naomi wasn't happy about having to relinquish the title because of his pregnancy and absence from on-ring action, that's what the three-time champion was forced to do.
"I bet you are happy for me, I bet you are, but you know what? This ain't my first time relinquishing a title. I handed it back the first time, but this time, I ain’t handing you (expletive)," Naomi told RAW general manager Adam Pearce on Monday. "My hormones are jumping like a disco. This ain’t the time nor place, so I advise you to get the hell out of my face."
When Naomi received the news, she called her husband Jimmy Uso immediately, but admitted to feeling stressed about breaking the news to WWE.
“I found out Sunday, called him, had to go to work. Stressed about having to tell work because of where I am right now as the champion. Of all times,” Naomi said.
Uso explained that Naomi initially worried she was letting fans down, considering nobody else knew about his pregnancy for the past several weeks while she kept performing as usual.
“She isn’t going to say this, but she felt like she let all her fans down," Uso said. "She felt like there is a step back because she is cooking.”
