Masked WWE wrestler Kane, now a mayor, votes against mask ordinance

Those of you who have "masked wrestler votes against wearing masks during a worldwide pandemic" can cross that box off on your 2020 bingo cards.

As Jack Baer of Yahoo Sports wrote, the Knox County, Tennessee, board of health voted on Wednesday to require that individuals inside of public establishments must wear masks. The vote passed 7-1, with Mayor Glenn Jacobs casting the only "no" vote.

Yes, that's the same Glenn Jacobs who portrayed masked WWE Superstar Kane for the bulk of his career.

Jacobs, who performed masked and unmasked while with the promotion, hung his wrestling boots up when he won the 2018 election.

He has, however, made sporadic WWE appearances as the Kane character through 2020:

Perhaps Jacobs voted no because current versions of his mask leave his nose and mouth uncovered. We'd recommend against wearing those types of face coverings while out among others.
