Ben Shalom Reveals Decision is Imminent Regarding What’s Next for Adam Azim

Adam Azim Next Fight

The unbeaten rising star from Slough has enjoyed an impressive start to his professional career and last time out defeated Enock Poulsen by a fifth-round KO. Despite an injury to his opponent causing the fight to end early, Azim was dominant up until that point and is showing great maturity and poise during his fights.

Shalom said regarding Azim: “Adam Azim is at an incredibly exciting stage of his career.” He continued: “At just 21 years of age and after only ten fights, he is already European champion and is now ready to announce himself on the world stage.”

Revealing what comes next for Team Azim: “Adam has been attracting a lot of attention with big names on either side of the Atlantic calling him out,” Said Shalom:

The promoter added: “There are several major fights on the table for him and we’ll be sitting down with [manager and head trainer Shane, and father Barry] the McGuigans early next week to make a decision.”

Adam Azim vs. Dalton Smith

Addressing the calls for Azim to face Dalton Smith, Shalom said: “A fight between Adam Azim and Dalton Smith is inevitable.” Reflecting on the great run of fights Azim has taken part in: “Adam has been on a great run of fights – Reyes, Fanyan, Petitjean, Poulsen – all of which will have helped prepare him for what comes next.”

Shalom added: “Dalton has a tough test against (Jose) Zepeda this weekend that he’ll need to get through first, but we’d love to make that fight.

“Whether it happens next or one or two fights down the line, it has the potential to be a massive fight for British boxing.”

Teasing what fight could be next, the Boxxer CEO said: “He has a lot of options. Whether it’s big domestic showdowns or internationally recognised opponents, we’re going to see Adam in some big fights next.”
