Seven-division world champion Amanda Serrano returns to the ring to defend her unified featherweight titles against Cheyenne Hanson on May 30.

The bout serves as the co-feature for the lightweight title rematch between Stephanie Han and Holly Holm. Serrano is looking to maintain her momentum while inching closer to an all-time boxing record. Serrano’s last outing on January 3, 2026 was a unanimous decision win (98-92, 97-93 x2) against Reina Tellez.

With 31 career knockouts, Serrano is currently just one stoppage away from tying the legendary Christy Martin’s record of 32. For the 28-year-old Hanson, she enters the ring with significant momentum, having secured a sixth-round TKO victory over Flor Rodriguez just last month in Bosnia. Hanson has not tasted defeat in five years, amassing nine consecutive wins to earn her #1 contender status.

Reaction

“When MVP told me that Han and Holm were going to rematch in Stephanie’s home town of El Paso, I said I want to get on the card to support these two queens. Women’s boxing is growing on a global level, and fights like this, now on ESPN and contested in three-minute rounds, are proof of how far we’ve come. I respect every opponent who steps in the ring, and I know Hanson is coming to win and she has KO power.

“I’m also continuing to hunt the all-time knockout record, so that’s always on my mind, but everything starts with discipline, execution, and performing at the highest level on fight night. Stephanie Han is all class, and it is my pleasure to come to her city and make the walk before her on Saturday, May 30th. See you soon El Paso,” Serrano

“I’m really excited and grateful for this fight. It means a lot to be representing Germany on this stage. Training camp is going to be hard but I’m focused. I respect my opponent, but I’m coming to make a statement,” Hanson
