The seasoned PRIDE FC and UFC veteran expressed his eagerness, emphasizing that after a two-year wait, he is finally ready to silence Briggs once and for all.
In response, Shannon Briggs swiftly replied with a video, adding a caption to affirm that he had already inked his commitment to the fight.
The Origins of the”Rampage’s” Feud with “The Cannon”
The animosity between these two formidable fighters traces back to Triller’s Triad Combat event on November 28, 2021. Both Jackson and Briggs assumed the roles of team captains, leading squads composed of MMA fighters and boxers, respectively. The rivalry unfolded in a triangular ring, employing unconventional hybrid rules that permitted the use of any punching technique from MMA, including spinning back fists and clinching, coupled with the mandatory use of special open-finger gloves.
Each victory earned the winning team points, and the final tally saw Team MMA securing 14 points against Team Boxing’s 11.
