It is being reported by MMAWeekly.com that Jake Paul is continuing to attract challenges from some of boxing’s biggest names.
It is said that Paul has upset a large portion of the combat sports fan base when he lured Mike Tyson out of retirement at almost 60 years old.
The influencer turned athlete is now preparing for his next bout inside the boxing ring, but his actions have caught the attention of an undefeated former world champion.
During a recent interview, Jermall Charlo, Jermell Charlo’s twin brother, welcomed the challenge against his friend Paul.
Charlo Discussed the possibility of the matchup. He claimed that, while he believes the YouTuber wouldn’t entertain the bout, he would embrace it.
“For sure [I’d fight Jake Paul],” Charlo said. “Jake Paul wouldn’t want to fight a fighter like me anyway,” Charlo said.
“I don’t know the substance to it, but you know, I can’t call it, but Jake Paul wouldn’t want to fight a fighter like me. And on top of that, me and Jake Paul are pretty cool,” Charlo continued.
Charlo later confirmed that despite their friendship, he would be open to making the fight happen.
“Yeah, we’re homies, but I’ll fight him. You fight your homies sometimes, I’ll fight him.”
Paul vs. Chavez Jr will be showcased live on DAZN PPV. The event will take place at the Honda Center, Anaheim, California, and fans can tune in when it gets underway on June 28.
