Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois will collide for the IBF heavyweight title, in the main event of a Riyadh Season card at Wembley Stadium on September 21. Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority Turki Alalshikh has today revealed that all general admission tickets for the event have now been sold, with a limited number of Platinum and Hospitality tickets remaining The undercard is impressive, and Liam Gallagher will also be performing, with the entire event available to watch on DAZN PPV, TNT Sports PPV, PPV.com and Sky Sports Box Office.
Via his X account, His Excellency revealed: “The General Admission tickets for the legendary fight between Joshua and Dubois in #RiyadhSeasonCard are sold out, with only a limited number of Platinum and Hospitality tickets remaining.”
AJ has a great record at Wembley Stadium, defeating Matt Legg, Wladimir Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin. This will be the first time he’s boxed at Wembley as the challenger for a world title. The IBF strap is on the line, following Oleksandr Usyk’s decision to vacate the belt. which led to Dubois being elevated to full championship status.
Speaking ahead of the September 21 clash, Dubois said: “I’m just aiming to be the best. To fight the best and beat the best. AJ has been the king for a long time, and we all know it, so on the night I need to become a king-slayer.” He continued: “That’s my goal and that’s the mission at hand. I’ve improved all round as a fighter and an athlete. I’m really up for this and ready to go.”
Joshua said: “I’m not silly, either, I know the game. We’re all in the wild. We’re a pack of lions and hunters.” AJ continued: “It’s the next man up. I’ve had Dubois on my mind for a while.”
He added: “The goal is just to get through a successful training camp, and then performing on the night.”
